West Championship Game
Tallahassee Seminoles (15-1-0 1st) vs. Caribbean Sphere (14-2-0 2nd)
Well all the work is over. These two teams have proven they are the cream of the crop last season and this one. Rivals from day one with Tallahassee always having just enough of an edge to take out Sphere.
Tallahassee has had a fantastic season, showing domination all year other than the screw up with Omaha. They made it clear they are the team to beat. They beat sphere in a game two match up, its clear they were superior on that day. Now that’s a bit more in doubt Sphere has clearly moved on from that game getting better every week sense. Tallahassee had a very sloppy game with Houston in round two. Five interceptions and some missed field goals. This sort of result will simply not work on for the Championship game. Tallahassee just needs to get back at what they do best, a strong passing attack with quick and deadly rushing, picking up eight when they need three. The Tallahassee defense also had a bit of a poor outing giving up just under 300 total yards on offense, but they still managed to get four interceptions in what was a sloppy game for both teams. Tallahassee just needs to come out and do what they do best. If they try to get cute it will not go over so well.
Sphere has had a season with two big lows, coming to Tallahassee and the Horns. After that time they have reestablished themselves as the clear number two team. They got back to old school football, focusing on the run and the grind, to the run crushing defense. So far so good, but it will take more than that to beat the number one team. They showed they have the ability to just get close to end zone to score with another fantastic outing from Foolery going 5/5 one of them a 55 yard thing of beauty. The question of course is can they get the grind working on Tallahassee. If they can’t it will be a very long day for the Sphere defense who only allowed 13 points in the post season matching the results they had in the regular season. It will be a close one if they can work the Tallahassee defense, if not it might be an ugly day.
