I start to feel sorry for the Greats, and then I keep realizing that this play has been in the game all season long. That means the Greats had 16 games to prepare for this possibility. I didn't see anyone post that they would not use the Strong i slam in any games.

So winning "fairly" really isn't part of the discussion. There is only do or not do.

Lastly, having taken shit on numerous occasions by the Dead Man for losing to the sixth place team in Lion in the first game of the season, there is no small amount of schadenfreude in play. To complete the equation, E'ci is better than the Greats, because we didn't lose to the 8th team in Lion, the Greats did. There's the clue, adddddddum.

Everyone runs the slam sometimes dipshit....bottom line is its not unstoppable.

And turnovers happen when you try to run every play against a good defense.

The crazy two turnovers? The game I clicked on had each team losing one fumble and not throwing any picks.

The winning team ran the ball 32 times to throwing it 27. The losing team ran the ball 70 times and was held to 3.4 yards per carry.

I really don't see how you can compare the two.

We went from 9 points to 36 points. We also went from 4 turnovers to 0 turnovers. We also returned a punt for a TD. We also outgained you in both games. In short, the reason you won the 1st matchup was because your defense stepped up and got 4 turnovers to stop us in our own territory. Chances are we score on those drives and win the game if we don't throw the picks. We changed our gameplan up like most good teams do in the playoffs. Our defense still shut down your offense. If you want to win games, try scoring more than 13 points.

you didn't turn the ball over because you never threw. duh.

we scored only 13 points because we had just a little over half the plays as last game. If we had as many plays as last time, chances are we woulda scored over 20 if you extrapolate the points per play. You ran the ball so much we didn't have enough possessions.

Our offense was doing better this game. In fact, it was roughly 33% better. You can't discount our INTs, we've done that all season long because we built an overall strong defense.

You didn't score a single offensive TD on us this season without resorting to nothing but strong I slam for almost all plays. We were doing better offensively this game than last. These are facts.

Man up to your decision to go with a cheezy tactic, ala Mortal Kombat 'cheeze' days. You're the MK cheeze guy at the party when we were kids. Own up to it.

Could you have won without it? yes, it was possible, though we were the favorites. Did you give yourself a shot to win that way? nope.

Bottom line is that the Greats lost and the next team to play the Pygmys had better bite the bullet and run 100% Strong I Slams as well, and just see who can win the "Exploit Bowl". That's what this season's playoffs will come down to . . . who can run it up the middle the best.

But then I read PBer's thread (always classy) and it is dead on. And then I saw Robert replied to it and I'm a little confused because there is no way you are shutting MaRAWK!!o out in the championship game. Just wanted to clarify.

And I also want to clarify that I hope you guys make it to the championship game next season so we can prove you wrong!
