Yeah on top of the Panthers early exit, it was reported last night that Peppers wants out of Carolina. I almost got sick. Ughhh

Oh boy if Peppers becomes a FA in 2010 oh boy! Can u say largest contract for a D-line player. Panthers have a tough choice this season. Tagging either Gross or Peppers. This ain't looking all too good for Carolina next season.
I would love to see Peppers come to the JETS when Rex Ryan takes over, MY god I can only imagine how he would be used; as he's a freak of nature like Lebron James.

what u say and what happens r two different things. The agent is just trying to get all the teams into a bidding war, which is smart, because this opens more teams to offering a contract to him. Problem is he maybe too big to play OLB. 6'7" 285, might be too big at OLB. we know he can pass rush and everything but many players have trouble converting from DE to OLB, so he may need time to adjust and for that kidn of money it may nt be worth it especially when u consider all the negatives. Lose of production, being out of position, etc.. and the list goes on and on. He makes a good DE nt OLB. + Rex would max him out and utilize his skills at OLB on various plays. Look at suggs, scott, adilius thomas back when he was there, list goes on and on.
Most likely team will be one w/ cap space and needs a DE. Also i would love to see him play for Houston Texans. Him and Mario Williams at both DE spots would be a scary site!

is he going to be a free agent this off season or next? 2010 is the uncapped year (for now) so its basically just gonna be a thing of who wants him and is willing to shell out the money. the big spenders in the league are Dallas and washington, which is why i said what i did about him coming over. depending on what happens with the free agents this year, i really don't think that Dallas needs him though. if ryan gets the NY Jets then peppers would be a helluva talent over there and i would like to see him beating up on brady all season long. as long as he stays out of the NFC East i don't really care where he goes.

Hard to face better teams when you're in first.
Love these rankings, thanks for the effort.

Come on over to Dallas Mr. Peppers...
That was the first team(& the Bears) that came to mind when I heard he wanted out. I think Jerry cleans house a little bit (started with Pacman) and brings in some new faces to change the chemistry. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see TO handed a pink slip next.

Peppers is a FA this season but will probably get a franchise tag and then traded off for something so they don't lose him for nothing. As for uncapped i doubt it will be for much longer.
As for beating up Brady he won't be playing most likely next season due to his injury. Which makes me wonder, if Cassel has another great year in that system NE will have a problem about what to do! Do they keep Cassel or what nt.
I doubt Dallas will sign him because he may nt be a fit and they ain't going to shell out that kind of money for uncertainty. Washington could but who knows w/ them???? He's ideally a 4-3 DE, which suits his strengths best. But I could be wrong. Det. may give him some big money to be a face of the Franchise and in there new 4-3 system?????
As for the Jet's I hope they switch to a 4-3. That def. has nt been the same since they moved away from it. + they have Vernon Gholsten, who they can plant in at DE, and he's a monster. Ask Jake Long, the only person to beat him for sacks in his whole college career.

even if cassell does have another "good season" (finishing just out of the playoffs) they will NOT have any kind of QB controversy. two "good seasons" does not equal 3 superbowl rings no matter how good he does next year. Cassell will become some high dollar trade bait to get a great RB, or some young defensive talent.

Depends on how Brady comes back. Nobody know how that knee is gonna hold up or if he'll ever trust it again. If Brady can't start the season and cassell, who is younger and has a young body since he didn't even play in college, can pick up where he left and continues to grow Brady could be out of a job. If Brady can't come back till week 5 because of the 2 additional "clean ups" and the patriots are undefeated what do they do? Are u gonna pull the hot hand that ur paying 15million too so that Brady can take back his starting spot and then go through him working the rust off? Remember how bad peyton manning was after just missing training camp? It's a tough decision that the pats have infront of them, gonna be interesting to see what they're going to do.

There going to stick w/ the hot hand. Look at the Pat's first season under Brady. He took the ob from Bledsoe and never gave it back. I think Brady may be a system QB in truth. How good would he be out side of the great system??? At least in Indy I know the system is Peyton Manning and they have no choice but to start him. They win based on him. The off. is built around him and w/ out him the off. struggles and the def. does as well.
