Depends on if Ahoda is there. But assuming the cows all eat at the same rate (1/7 field per day), then seven days. That's a big assumption, though, since we could have some serious cow variation in field eating. Not to mention the fields may be more lushly planted versus barely planted at all.

I'll need a large government grant to study this.

You've got a good point. If the 5 cows aren't nearly as hungry as the previous 7 cows all bets are off. What's our coefficient of variation value for the hunger levels of the cows?

Type of, definition of "days", type, height and density of grass, size of field, humidity/moisture of grass, percent acceptable silage are all unknowns. I think you would need to hire a team to do a study before you could even get started.

It kinda feels like when you are chilling in the back room at a party and then a few hours later you stroll out to check on peeps and everybody either left or passed out and you are the only one left still drinking.
