I don't understand why we keep being told that a fix is coming for the financial system that will get cash under control, but supposedly this rule change was necessary anyway.

i can see where this guy is coming from. I wouldnt exactly be against a wipe with the new financial rules and archeatypes coming into play.

We all know this is just a stop-gap measue until Bort and the powers that be redo the financial system. It (the current system of finances) sucks, it isn't enjoyable and it is what brought about all of the shennaingans that are now being addressed by these rules changes.
Now, we have two options:
#1 Implement these new changes in to the status quo. Teams which did their financial reindeer games before these rules took effect have a HUGE advantage and the game is unwinnable by everyone else.
OR
#2 Restart.....everyone is on the same level for the next season or two while Bort & C22 figure out the new financial system. The beauty of the reset is that no one will be levelled-up high enough to be effected in any way (positively or negatively) when the roll out of the new financial system occurs. However, with no reset, that can't be said.

Well, that's not a total wipe. People are looking to return to the game of season 1, when everyone was actually playing to win right away, and there was no one above them. They think that will make the game better. I'm not sure, but it was nice to actually try to be competitive all the time.

A total reset would need a poll and an overwhelming majority to agree to it. There's just a risk of pissing off too many people.
