I agree that it is highly unlikely that he will do it. But never hurts to ask.

yea I dont think that has anything to do about it. Not that I'm saying the east was better last year cuz I really feel the top 3 teams in the west last year coulda won in the finals. But as the owner of that #8 seed your referring to, we were really better than the 8 seed we got. It was hard to guage seeds last year due to the fact that it took most teams 2-3 games before they even had a decent lineup.

We started 0-2 while we were building and finished 5-1 once our roster was set. Then we went 2-1 in the playoffs. I really didn't think any upsets that happened in the playoffs we're all that 'cinderella like'.

Honestly I think the two conferences are much more equal in talent between east and west this season then they were last year.

Western Conference Owners / GMs

If you'd like I'll take responsibility for sending out ballots for Western Conference All-Stars to all team owners.

After the regular season I will collect the completed ballots from all owners and create the Western Conference All-Star Team.

I can also TRY emailing Bort and see if there is ANY chance in hell he'd simulate a West-East All-Star Game for our league since it IS an EXTREMELY active league.

Odds are slim he'd do it, but we can try.

I'd be happy to get involved on the East side. Though the one vote per team wouldn't even fill the 1st team slots as we'd need 22 players, not to mention K & P's.

Maybe have owners nominate their best player then allow for 2-3 other votes for their specific conference. Then you could utilize the heisman points system and find the first teams and so forth.

I don't know, I'm just thinking outloud. I'm about to head out the door so I'll think about it more later tonight when I return.

Anyways I'd be happy to work with ya Lawdawg on behalf of the Eastern side.

Largest Stadium - Sphere Stadium

Toughest Venue - Tossup between Sphere and Tallahasse. The 'Noles get the nod with the perfect record and the road win against Sphere.

We have already bought two additional sections to the stadium that are just waiting for the off season to complete. If we host some play-off games we should have enough money to totally bowl in the stadium and increase capacity up above 27k. Word is that boosters are making some contributions to add a new big screen and ribbon boards as well. I took the liberty of making a video of the new additions below, click below ....

The problem we may run into is how will he form those teams. Would be alot of work if they had to go into the system and pull the players from their teams and create two seperate All-Star teams. Then have to return the players to their team afterwards.

If it did happen though I'd say the 2 owners of the teams making it to the championship game should set tactics and so forth for their conference!

To make it more simple we can give each Owner/GM one nomination at each position. The top vote getter is our 1st Team, and 2nd our 2nd Team.

If we do it the other way then each representative has to rank the top 3 at each position and we break it down into 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place points, and then go from there for our 1st Team and 2nd Team.

Make it so people can't vote for players on their own team.

Good idea...... except if there is a player who is obviously the best at a position it's silly not to let that owner vote for him. It would even itself out over 16 ballots.

I was thinking about that. I didnot feel right nominating Big Tuna as the QB, but it was unfair to vote for anyone else. 18 TDs abd 1 int and a QB rating of 105.4 is pretty sick. Look at his competition, and keep in mind this is not just the Western conference, it includes the east as well.

QB--
JOHN UTAH- QB RATING 75.4, 1933 yds, 14 td's, 14 int's
RAG ARM- QB RATING 94.8, 1572 yds, 11 td's, 4 int's
JERRY SNELL- QB RATING 90.5, 1747 yds, 14 td's, 5 int's
JIMMY GUNN- QB RATING 85.9, 1448.5 yds, 13 td's, 6 int's
BIG TUNA- QB RATING 105.4, 1394.5 yds, 18 td's, 1 int's
DEAN COCHRAN- QB RATING 74.4, 1920 yds, 13 td's, 10 int's

We still have a long way to go, we should nominate after week 16.

He wouldnt take the players off the teams. He would just duplicate them.
and I think the loser of the conf champ game should coach.

i say do it this way so it is fair and unbias.

every owner has to pick in this format.

1qb, 1 hb, 1te, 2wr, 2 ot, 2g, 1c
2Dt, 2DE, 3lb's, 2cb, 1fs and 1 ss

The kicker.
the owners are picking the all star team from the other confernce.

The west owners pick the easts team and the east picks the wests. No one votes for their own team or teams they play against thus it will be more fair.

each owners vote counts as 1 point. the player who gets the most points gets the title per position

Then you run the risk of one conference trying to make the other conference's team crappy. Even if both sides do that to make it fair, it defeats the purpose of an "All-Star" Game.

The only way I can see doing an "All-Star" game currently is to use the final week as fantasy type game. After votes for each position are tallied, by say week 14, draft up the teams, and work out a scoring system similar to many fantasy leagues with some additions as needed.

In the final week, tally up said points earned by the each position, and figure out the winner by point totals.

Lot of work, yes, but I think it is currently about the only way to feasibly do it.

As far as voting, I would say use up to Week 12 to get stats for each player and then take the top 5 positions and open up a voting system from either Active owners/GM's who show interest.

5 AM on game day and no predictions yet. Well I'll predict that the Sphere will win again and continue their climb to the top.
