I strongly suspect there is no fixed lines of what determines the range of passes. I think it is a factor of the QB's strength or overall passing proficiency. I haven't been able to extablish that with statistics, but it's my current working theory.

I'm just curious as to how I can use the short/medium/long pass defense percentages the most effectively.

Right now I've been scouting based on the completion. That is, if a pass is for 4 yards, I mark it down as a short pass play, regardless of the other WRs routes.

I wonder if it would be more effective to base the percentages on an average of where ALL WRs are, for example a play where 2 are medium and 2 short, to mark down as 50-50-0. And the next play if 1 is short and 3 are long to mark down as 25-0-75. Then just base the gameplan on an average of that.

That's what I'm hoping someone who knows the game better can clear up.

Any of the mods know anything about this maybe?

I unstickied it because there's a link to this thread in the stickied FAQ thread. I wanted to make the newbie forum have less stickies and the best way was just to use the existing threads to link to the ones I made.

For general tactics does it only affect the page its on, for example if im OC and change the general tactics does it affect general tactics for DC or does it only affect for offensive side of the ball.

If you change the Auto Tactics Adjustment, does if affect the offense and defense both.

Ex. I am OC and we have another player doing DC. If I change it, will it change his defense too????????
