To be honest, I don't take this tournament overly serious. I care about seeing trophies on our team page!

No offense intended, but if you guys are so active with your 1500 posts in a season then your players are theoretically changing their tactics to be in line with what you have gameplanned for which gives someone who owns their entire team no significant advantage over your team in that regard...so that leaves to question if they are following the game plan as you put it then why would you believe a team with players 4 - 5 levels below some on your team would have an advantage?

now if the players you recruited have shitty builds or if your gameplanning sucks, then that is a different story and you are using the cop out that he has a tactical advantage for owning more players than you do...

i personally think you made the comment about not caring if you win this tourney for the simple fact that your boy spouted his mouth about how you guys were going to cream everyone even though hes 7 levels higher than most guys here...it would really suck if you guys lost...(not to mention you have some other 28/29 lvl players)..but then that could be my opinion...simply put you guys win then congratulations we all would expect a team with those level players could put together some semblance of a championship run...but if you lose my bet is we will see tumbleweeds blowing through the forum from mr smacktalk sugarbottom who is probably still pounding his chest and we are all going to probably give you hell about it (as if we aren't already)

It is all just fun man... I hope you're not taking it all personally. This forum was pretty lame till he got here. I'm not making any excuses for our team, but honestly as busy as I am, I'm not going to put this tournament as my top priority. It will not get the attention that some of you are probably going to give. Our #1 goal is to win our league championship.

As far as players tactics, probably half or more are following the tactics exactly. The others, I can't say for sure. Not every person on are team is active in the forums. Actually probably only half are. So I couldn't say about the others. They are almost always signing on to the game though. Yes I think controling all the advanced tactics personally is an advantage.

Yes we have 3-4 guys over 24, but a majority of our team is between 18-23. We are very comparable to most of the top teams in this tournament. We have 3-4 guys who are higher, but that isn't anything significant if you ask me. If they were all OL or all DL or all CB's or all WR's, I would see that as an advantage, but they are all spread out.

Last season we were below the top teams as far as roster and made our league championship. We lost to a team that was about 4 levels higher at all backup spots and 2 levels higher at most starters. We haven't always had the upper hand with roster, but after not feeling like we had a way to beat a team like that with basic offensive settings last season, we wanted the upper hand and so we worked for this team. Don't be jealous, if you want these guys go get them. If not, then don't whine.

I think last season we would of had a shot with Advanced AI tactics, but that weren't in existence.

to be honest...looking back at all of sparky's comments, i missed his original post as it seems he was joking around. so i'm sorry for blowing this whole thing out of proportion.

No one is claming you are taking advantage of people. It is in your rights to build all of your own players. Their are no rules against it. And yes it is easier to run a team like that. Hands down.

I will also guarantee you that 99% of all the teams in WEA sent an offer to a player above level 25. Why, because they wanted to win. Unfortunately they were unable to land those players.

All the players I recruited this offseason were between level 18-24. They boosted.

The champion from our league last season had a team full of level 20-22 guys. I recruited in that range. My team still has lots of guys that after 3 boosts are 18-20. My starters look impressive, but I didn't guy the whole team. My punter just hit level 16 and my kicker just hit 19.

Cool beans. Honestly, we said in our forum to go on here and start talking smack to have fun. Most of us are pretty down to earth guys. I understand our roster compesates for a lot of mistakes. We didn't even punt in the first 2 games because of AI errors. With the AI checker we are fixed. Thank God for that one.

definately not taking it personally...i would agree 100% that my league title is more important than the WE4 championship, but by the same token i know my boys would love it if we gave a good showing...i think there are a lot of teams that can make a lot of noise in this tourney...probably why i feel glad that we dropped from the #1 overall ranking..no more pressure...the point i was making is unfortunately for you guys by having a lvl 28 from your team come do some trashtalking its to be expected that he and you guys should outplay a lot of teams and win this thing, when the reality is i think there are too many good teams in this tourney for your team to win (or mine for that matter). and even if you do win, ppl will just blame it on the level difference. i would have preferred for my boys to fly under the radar but unfortunately those rankings have prevented that

i dont give a shiznat about any of the trash talk. i just want the hoppas or the cheetahs to go ahead and do the damn thang and win this!

That's fine, but you can't have it both ways. Either there are too many good teams for us to win or if we win it you have to give some respect. You can't say the teams are too good and if you do that it is just because. If the teams are so good and that is your point, then stand by it.

Realistically we need to win 5 games against mostly conference champion type teams. You're right. That is going to be tough no matter who you are.

And, I wish you people could see the "me" beyond my level...that just hurts to be called a 28 with a 39 overall or something like that. I'm more than just a number!

That said, would the Galleons prefer a ceremonial bagpipe exit from the tournament? Something special that says you are gone...and forgotten...but at least you had bagpipes as you left? Yeah, I think I like that...I'll even get a fat lady to sing along so that you know it truly is over. ( and no, I won't be getting my mom for that part...)

A2 has 3 teams in the top 10 and a fourth in the top 18.
