The Fighters have scheduled a scrimmage game versus the Haguenau Coyotes to prepare against the Tongan Crimson Auha and should help them in determining how they should continue for the rest of the season.

I hope the Coyotes are not as bad as they are in real life because last time I played them we beat them 55-0!

OH MY!!!!
A lot of breaking news. In case you did not hear the Fighters made a move to bring in a new QB. Comicfanman was not happy with what was going on at the helm of his offense and with a last minute trade John Fourcade became the new starter for Saipan. It seems to be a good move for the long haul but it did not fix the anything quick enough to challenge the Tongan Crimson Auha. Fourcade did not have any practice to get used to the new offense so was unable to put up the numbers he was brought in to do. Without any prep Fourcade did not get to see what breaking ability of Barefoot Johnny Odachowski IV had and threw his first interception of the season. QB Dylan Salisbury was traded to a Canadian Pro League where he will try his luck out on a rebuilding team. Good news for him he has a very experienced receiver to help him along.

Tongan Crimson Auha handed the Fighters their second loss and looks like turnovers are Saipan's biggest problem right now. I interception and four fumbles not recovered by Saipan really did not let the Saipan Fighters into the game. And with plays like this where a sure interception by Hardy Knox in the endzone had the ball taken right out of his hands for a touchdown for the Auha. That Grigori "Racehorse" Rasputin is a talented receiver to have snatched that at the last moment for the score.

On the other side in a tough scrimmage game against the Haguenau Coyotes, Saipan pulled out a 20-16 victory. With a 20-9 lead at half time the Fighters were able to hold of the game Coyotes team. This is what we need to see from Saipan in the regular season games.

The offensive play calling has got HB Duece Trey in an uproar. Two games and only 3 carries is not what he signed up for. He has began to demand a release or a trade so he can put his skills to use for someone that can use his abilities. Owner comicfanman stated that he did bring him in to get some carries out of him and it just has not worked out for them yet. Duece Trey has 1 touchdown on one of his three so he shouldn't be to upset, states owner comicfanman. Things will pick up for him, he just has to be patient. Third string HB Matteo Pettenuzzo seems content with the amount of time he has seen, and has been fortunate enough to carry the egg eights times in two games. Matteo Pettenuzzo is making the most of his carries with a 6.90 yard average and is keeping the coaches happy with that, even if he has not gotten a touchdown. Where Duece Trey is only averaging 1.30 yards, it may be wise to count his blessings before something drastic happens.

Next up for the Fighters is a scrimmage game against the Nice Toxics. It seems to be a learning game for the Nice Toxics being giant underdogs in this one. Saipan Fighters' back ups should see a lot more playing time in this one and hopefully that carries over to the regular season games. Time to show what you have back ups. And prove that you belong in this league.

After the scrimmage the Saipan Fighters will have their hands full facing the Banzai Pipeline 'Nites. One of the best teams in the Oceania Pro League the Banzai Pipeline 'Nites plan on making quick work of the Fighters. Comicfanman says don't count us out yet, we have some tricks up our sleeves and might pull them out for this game. We think if the Fighters luck doesn't change it won't be pretty and they may not even want to come out after halftime. Stay tuned.....

Well, well, well. The fighter take another knock in the pants. This season is not turning out the Fighters expected. They are going to have to turn things around rather quickly to have any shot of making the playoffs. The Banzai Pipeline 'Nites made easy work of yet another team and the Fiji Stingers plan on getting their forth win of the season against Saipan. Fiji Stingers ball control has really hampered their opponents chances so far this season. What will Saipan bring to this game? Number one they need to go back to basic tackling skills. Missing tackles like they did against the 'Nites will only set up another loss. If they hold onto the ball and let Allen Rossum loose on a kickoff they may have a chance. The odds are stacked against the Fighters yet again, what will happen??? Stay tuned...

Saipan Fighters owner's team ownership contract expires in 10 days. And things going the way they are going, comicfanman has a tough decision to make. Will there be another Oceania Pro League team be going belly up? Or will a decision be made to save the team. There is a lot of grumbling in the locker room and some unsteady hands on the field. This team needs to get a grasp quickly if they are to survive in this league. To many fumbles and dropped passes along with the number of missed tackles has driven comicfanman to drink heavily at night after practices and it doesn't seem his mind is in the game anymore. League rule changes have been a problem for comicfanman since season 2 and the Fighters have never recovered as they rebuilt the team back then. What happens next? Stay tuned....

Dude..I feel your pain. I'm fighting with the decision myself after this season. But I will tell you, you are hands down one of my favorite owners in this game. Period.

It would be a big loss to the league if you stepped down.

Oh the STING of defeat!!!!

The Fiji Stingers really pulled the trains out against the Fighters. Two running backs with over 100 yards each and a total of 4 touchdowns was to much for the Fighters to handle. Back to the drawing board again for comicfanman and his coaching staff. What are they going to do to solve this running attack that faces them each game. With everyone aware that the Fighters defense can not stop the run expect many more rushing yards to pile up against this defense. And on the other side of the ball, the Saipan offense can't seem to stop the blitz and allowed 5 sacks this last game against the Stingers. The offensive line is also struggling to open any holes for the running backs and it is looking very bleak for Saipan's running game this season. To stop Saipan right now all you have to do is pressure the new quarterback and break up the passing game.

Four losses has put a damper in the hearts of the fans and some of the players as well. The last three games there have been players carrying the ball to loosely and with three fumbles lost for touchdowns for the other teams, look for this to be a long season again for Saipan. It doesn't get any easier next game as the Fighters face the 1-3 Jakarta Men O' War. Expect a drag out war in the Kamakazi Pit while the Fighters are looking for their first win of the season.

This is looking to be a rough season for almost all teams in the Oceania Pro League Zeta Conference as there are only 6 teams of 16 with winning records. It is going to be a crunch for those last two playoff spots this season. Saipan needs to pull the rabbit out of the hat and win some games quickly and get some upsets if they plan on any chance of the playoffs.

Will Lady Luck fine her way into the Kamakazi Pit and finally give a sign of relief for the Fighters? Stay Tuned.....

Well mark it down Saipan Fighters fans, today the Fighters got their first win of season 5. A stubborn defense put a stop to an offense for a change. When a defense can put together a game where the have zero missed tackles, five forced fumbles, a fumble recovery for a touchdown, and an interception you can almost forget the other team's offense is on the field. The Jakarta Men O' War tried to do their best to get some points but couldn't pull the final trigger and get in the end zone. So all they could muster were three field goals. And now things look a little brighter for the Fighters.

Back up quarterback Dirty Wheels had a pretty solid performance trying to prove that he deserves more playing time. While starter John Fourcade is still struggling to get the offensive playbook down. It will be interesting to see what happens while the two challenge each other as the season moves forward.

Next up for the Fighters are the Great Barrier Reef Sharks who have been struggling this season. The Sharks have yet to score a point and have taken what some would call a major ass whipping in each game. Their opponents have been able to score over 100 points in each of their five games. The Tongan Crimson Auha had no mercy as they scored 201 points against the Sharks. That coach should be ashamed of himself.

With this in mind expect the Fighters to be excited to finally have a great chance to show that they do have what it takes to belong in this league. Heavily favored over the Sharks, expect the back ups to get plenty of playing time to show the coaches what they have to offer. Will it be an ugly game? Will the Fighters' defense be able to continue to keep the Sharks from scoring? Keys will be to not turn the ball over and convert the third down conversions. Also the Fighters are planning on getting a hold of the quarterback, something they have been struggling to do. What will the outcome be? Stay tuned....

As the teams begin to power up the odds for Saipan getting a winning record this season are fading fast. With eleven games remaining the Fighters are only favored in two of them. Though two games seem to be even odds, it looks tough for the Fighters to get 5 wins. This is not what the team members signed on for and things could begin to unravel as the season progresses. Team chemistry on the other hand is higher than it has been in some time and maybe with some luck, which has been not been to kind this season, the Fighters could pull out some upsets. If the team ends up with under a 500 record it may be another rebuilding season or it may cause the the team to be sold.

Comicfanman has extended his ownership through season six, so hopefully he can convince his players to return. We will have to see how things unfold in the upcoming weeks. The game against the Great Barrier Reef Sharks should be a good one for the back ups of Saipan to gain some experience and try to level up and compete in the league. But will it be enough to help the team finish strong? Stay tuned....

Sorry Saipan fans for being gone so long. We shut down the operation to rejoice the sweet victory against the Great Barrier Reef Sharks. In fact the hangover is still pounding deep into the brain. What can you say 153-0? The Sharks are rebuilding and going through some tough things right now, which was really good for the Saipan Fighters. The backups got their fair share of playing time in this one and the starters got to rest up for the big game today against the Brisbane Heat who are sitting on top of the Zeta Conference. This will be a great challenge for Saipan and will probably make or break them for the season. A victory will send a shock wave through the Oceania Pro League. A loss won't kill the teams hopes of a playoff shot, but won't help the teams current status. Right now being ranked # 11 in the Zeta Conference is higher than they have been in several seasons, so don't expect the Fighters to lay down. The Fighters have been working hard at practice and studying game films in the team meetings. Look for this to be an exciting game.
What do we see happening? Stay tuned...

DO you really want an answer to that question?

With less than 5 hours prior to game time - it looks like someone has an eye on this and not even giving Saipan a chance.

What do we see happening? Saipan loss 34-10

But I wouldn't be surprised if there is an upset today, I'd like to see a shake up in this league.

I think the over/under on Heat sacks of the Saipan QB should probably be around 14 or 15.

Do you guys think it is just the chemistry difference now? I feel the chemistry thing is what is our biggest problem.
