Warrior General Games

After reviewing the film, we were matched up pretty much how we wanted to and had the right defense on the field. . . . Austin's passing game just was too good this game.

Thank God for our offense. 302 passing yards combined with 92% passing from your starting QB really helps.

I respect all teams in this league, and I will say that the players on the Roughnecks played well, but in no way will I say " Good game " because the game was downright gawdawful.

The tackling apparently was not set to "wrap up", but to "tackle like a gutted team".

EDIT : Yeah, I know... at least I'm not bitter or anything.

Yeah yeah the sim is broke. You scored a lot of points on one of the league's best defenses. I would say the sim broke in your favor today. Quit being a whiney bitch and offer up a "good game". If your team can't tackle then maybe you should train and build tackling???!!!

You know, I've listened to this for quite awhile tonight. But you can't on one hand bitch about how the game has done you wrong in the rush defense while watching your WRs grab everything all night long in coverage where you can't even see the blue WR dot because it's covered up by the yellow CB dot.

This stuff works both ways and quite frankly, your act of bitching about this all season, after every game, is getting old.

The people missing tackles have plenty of points in tackling and strength and the team did not have 30+ missed tackles vs. Sphere, OBs, or Spartans, but the last two games have been wacky.

FYI, I've only been bitching the last two games. And I freely admit that I'm bitching. I'm not hating on other teams, I'm just upset at the lack of consistency.

Look, shit breaks both ways in this game. I'm pretty sure you've seen me congratulating your team on a solid offensive effort and that you just beat us. You can do the same thing instead of having your weekly hissy fit about how you're the only one having to deal with the new rules of the game.

We all have our frustration points... you had yours last year when your team had an insane 7 turnovers in a game... this is mine.

It wasn't a bug, it was poor builds at the QB position. We went and fixed that.

Bort made some announcements in the preseason and a couple games into this season about changes he made to the sim. One favors the running game and the other favors the passing game, both are negative against defenses.

I'm not going to reveal what I know about it so you'll have to do your own homework to figure it out. It's a combination of several variables. If you caught the first bit of info about the run game in the offseason you could've capitalized on it early, but unfortunately the changes to the passing game weren't made until a couple of games into the season after boosting had already taken place, so the fix for that will be slow and painful.

I don't know how anyone MISSED the running game changes coming for this season. They were discussed ad nauseum on the boards and even on this forum. It wasn't what everyone keeps saying it is because none of our backs are remotely built the way I keep hearing is causing all of these rushing yards. Earl Campbell just got even better with his last boost.

As for the passing game, that was another one of Bort's in-season moves that he did AFTER people had boosted. Those are the frustrating ones. If you want to change things, that's fine, it's a Beta. But give people a chance and do it in the off-season so people can adjust.

I completely agree

The running game issues, I really don't feel sorry for anyone since that was talked about over and over again all over the place.

People had every opportunity to adjust for those impending changes. It's changes that he makes IN-SEASON that tend to annoy me. Then again, they affect everyone ..... it's just a pain in the ass.
