🏈 Pee Wee PLAYOFF PREGAME SHOW
GAME 1: Sin City Bulldogs (11-5) vs Newyork Blackout (3-13)
Opening
Joan Rivers: "Let's start with Newyork Blackout. Three wins. THREE. That's not a football team, that's a Groupon. Their defense gave up over 7,000 rushing yards. Seven thousand! I've seen sturdier resistance from a revolving door at Studio 54. And now they get Julien Drake? Honey, that's not a matchup, that's a crime scene."
Groundskeeper Willie: "Aye, ye cannae call this a fair fight. Th' Bulldogs run fer nearly 5,700 yards an' the Blackout defense tackles like they're apologizin' tae th' ball carrier fer interruptin' his journey."
Jim's Dad: "You know, this game reminds me of when Jim thought one bad decision with a pie wouldn't spiral completely out of control. Newyork made a few mistakes early in the season, and before they knew it they were sitting across from Sin City in the playoffs wondering where things went wrong."
Head-to-Head and Recent Form
Sin City beat Newyork 94-0 in Week 15.
Sin City finished 3-1 over their final four games.
Newyork finished 1-3 over their final four games.
Newyork's three wins came against lower-tier competition while Sin City beat playoff teams throughout the year.
Predictions
Joan: "Bulldogs. Mean, powerful, and they leave destruction behind them. They're basically my dating history."
Bulldogs 56, Blackout 3
Willie: "Bulldogs. A team that runs th' ball 123 times fer touchdowns understands honest labor."
Bulldogs 63, Blackout 0
Jim's Dad: "I'm actually taking Newyork emotionally. They remind me of Jim. They're in way over their heads but somehow still showed up. But they're going to end up as mangled as that pie."
Bulldogs 49, Blackout 10
Official Show Prediction
Sin City Bulldogs win 63-0
GAME 2: Lone Star Renegades (10-6) vs Hartford Bouncing Pickles (10-6)
Opening
Joan Rivers: "First of all, the Hartford Bouncing Pickles is a ridiculous name. Sounds like a product you'd buy after midnight from a commercial hosted by a former child actor. But here's the thing... they can PLAY. If football games were decided by toughness and ugly defensive battles, Hartford would be terrifying."
Willie: "Aye, this be th' best matchup o' th' alpha lot. Ye've got Hartford's bruisin' ground game against Montana Diggs, who throws touchdowns more often than I dream o' puttin' Skinner in a 6' hole."
Jim's Dad: "This feels like a conversation I'd have with Jim after another embarrassing mistake. On one side you've got Hartford saying, 'Let's take our time and think things through.' On the other side you've got Montana Diggs saying, 'No, let's launch six touchdowns immediately.'"
Head-to-Head and Recent Form
Head-to-head:
Hartford won Week 3 (31-21)
Lone Star won Week 12 (28-21)
Recent games:

Scored 695 points in final four games
Hartford
Won 3 of last 4
Beat Sin City 10-0
Dominated Newyork 175-0
The form is remarkably close.
Predictions
Joan: "Lone Star. Montana Diggs has 72 touchdowns and no interceptions. No mistakes. I respect that. It's the opposite of Willie and who knows where that Pickle has been. I mean, has anyone seen Kim Kardashian recently; I wouldn't put it past her to have made a sex tape using Hartford's mascot as a strap-on."
Lone Star 28, Hartford 24
Willie: "Hartford. They run th' ball. They play defense. They hit people. Civilization was built on such things, much betta' then me shack."
Hartford 21, Lone Star 17
Jim's Dad: "Hartford reminds me of giving careful fatherly advice. Lone Star reminds me of Jim ignoring it. And I fear what Jim would do if he got his hands on someone else's pickle."
Lone Star 24, Hartford 21
Official Show Prediction
Lone Star Renegades win 24-21
GAME 3: Rome Gladiator Yaks (12-4) vs Mr Coach Kline's DOTS (12-4)
Opening
Joan Rivers: "Only Coach Kline could name a team the DOTS and somehow make it menacing. The name sounds like a terrible skin condition but the defense is vicious. Then you've got Rome. Gladiators. Yaks. Half Roman Empire, half petting zoo. I don't know whether to salute them or feed them hay."
Willie: "Aye, now THIS be playoff football. Two twelve-win clubs. One game decided by six points. Strong defenses. Hard runnin'. None o' that fancy comb-using nonsense."
Jim's Dad: "This matchup reminds me of talking to Jim after one of that moment with his favorite piece of clothing; his sock. Both these teams think they know exactly what's going to happen. One of them is about to learn they don't."

Head-to-head:
Rome won Week 3, 35-28
DOTS won Week 12, 16-10

DOTS 20, Rome 17
Official Show Prediction
Rome Gladiator Yaks win 20-19
GAME 4: Turf Warriors (13-3) vs Martian Invasion (11-5)
Opening
Joan Rivers: "The Martians have tremendous athletes in cute skirts. They also have a player named Marshall the Alien, which sounds less like a running back and more like someone trying to sell me cryptocurrency. Turf Warriors meanwhile look like a bunch of convicts - but I mean, come on, what championship team hasn't had potential convicts. Have you seen the rosters of the old Patriots and who does Ray Lewis think he's kidding?".
Willie: "Aye, th' Warriors be terrifying. One hundred an' eighty points allowed all season. That's less than some clubs give up in a month."
Jim's Dad: "This reminds me of when Jim would ask me, 'Dad, why do I feel funny when I see Stiffler's mom?' The Martians certainly believe they have everything under control. Then you look across and see Turf Warriors waiting with the league's best defense and just hope you can survive the very adult ride."
Head-to-Head and Recent Form
Head-to-head:
Turf won Week 5 (28-7)
Turf won Week 14 (28-21)

Willie: "Martians. Any group accused o' bein' strange outsiders deserves a wee bit o' support."
Martian Invasion 24, Turf Warriors 20
Jim's Dad: "Turf Warriors. Consistency matters. That's generally the advice I wish Jim had taken."
Turf Warriors 28, Martian Invasion 21

Game recap:
Oh, The Places You'll DOT!
A Seussical Postgame Story from the Gridiron Gabbery Hour
Gather around, all you football folk, you thinkers, you dreamers, you laughers who joke!
Tonight we watched a marvelous plot between the Coach Kline DOTS of Daring and Dreaming and the Rome Rumble-Yumble Gladiator Yaks.
And though the Yaks ran fast. Though the Yaks ran free. The DOTS showed us all what persistence can be.
For this wasn't a tale of just a team that led first.
It was a tale of a team that refused to be cursed.
The game began slowly on a field full of doubt.
Three-and-outs wandered and punt teams came out.
The Yaks couldn't move. The DOTS couldn't score.
It seemed every defender wanted more and more.
Passes were tipped. Runners were stopped.
Every promising drive seemed destined to be chopped.
Yet the DOTS kept marching.
Not perfectly, mind you.
But champions are seldom made by what they can't do.
They're made by the times when the road disappears, and they keep on moving through whistles and fears.
The first points arrived on the toe of a boot.
A field goal sailed through.
A small but mighty route.
3-0 DOTS!
Not flashy. Not loud.
But enough to make hopeful the faithful crowd.
Then came a thunderous Yak-sized surprise.
A quarterback keeper erupted before everyone's eyes.
Sixty-two yards!
What a galloping sight!
The Yaks sprang ahead and took hold of the night.
Soon another grinding touchdown followed the run.
And before long the scoreboard read:
Yaks 14, DOTS 3.
A mountain stood tall before Coach Kline's crew.
The sort of mountain many teams never climb through.
But listen closely.
This is where places are found.
Not when you're soaring.
But when you're down.
The DOTS could have folded.
They could have bent.
They could have decided the evening was spent.
Instead they stitched together a drive full of nerve.
The kind of drive contenders believe they deserve.
Marc Gagne found the paint.
The kick split the sky.
The DOTS drew closer and narrowed the why.
At halftime they trailed 14-10.
But they had just begun.
The journey wasn't over.
It had scarcely been run.
The third quarter arrived like a path through the hills.
Not glamorous. Not easy. Just grit and strong wills.
The DOTS chipped away.
A field goal here.
A stop over there.
Every tackle whispered:
"Stay in the game. Stay there."
The Yaks still led.
The challenge remained.
But the DOTS were slowly getting themselves trained.
Then came another Yak sprint.
Another dazzling dash.
Thirty-two yards of lightning and flash.
The Yaks stretched the lead.
The clock kept its beat.
And many thought then that the DOTS were beat.
But oh, what a lesson the DOTS had to teach.
Sometimes the dream is just barely in reach.
Then one play changes everything.
One throw. One spark.
One receiver finding daylight in the dark.
Marc Gagne broke loose for a fifty-four-yard score.
And suddenly belief came knocking once more.
Earl Brooks later found the end zone too.
The comeback was no longer something they might do.
The comeback was happening.
Right there.
In plain view.
While the Yaks searched desperately for one final answer, the DOT defense became a tremendous dancer.
They bent.
They battled.
They chased.
They swarmed.
And every storm the Yaks created, the DOTS somehow weathered and warmed.
The Yaks moved the ball late.
They hurried.
They pressed.
But the DOTS stood tall through the final test.
And that brings us to the heart of tonight's story.
Not merely a victory.
Not merely the glory.
But a reminder of where the best journeys begin.
They begin when you're trailing.
They begin when things spin.
They begin when the scoreboard says maybe you're through.
And you answer back:
"I don't think that's true."
So tonight's tale belongs to the:
Coach Kline's Daring DOTS of Destiny
A team that trailed.
A team that climbed.
A team that refused to let circumstance decide.
They found field goals when touchdowns hid.
They found courage when the Yaks looked big.
They found answers when the questions grew.
And step by step they pushed on through.
Because the places you'll go aren't always found at the start of the road.
Sometimes they're found when you're fourteen-to-three behind, carrying a very heavy load.
And if you keep believing... keep fighting... keep making each play count...
You may just discover that championships are built one determined DOT at a time.
Final Score
Coach Kline's DOTS 27
Rome Gladiator Yaks 24
And as the celebration echoed into the night, the announcer smiled and said:
"You'll be on your way up! You'll be seeing great sights! You'll join the high fliers who soar to great heights!
And tonight, my friends...
those high fliers were the DOTS." 🏈✨
