One day I'll figure out how to make a competent, balanced offense, not this season, but one day.

Biff Barf here, soaking up all the news and barfing it back at you! My co-host Spaceman Spiff ready to expound on the low-down!
= Hi ev-
So ends all that inter-mural cross divisional mish mash hooie!
= In other words, it's crunch time!
That's right Spiff, three games left against divisional rivals that hate your guts! Not that I'd want my divisional rival getting all cozy with my guts in the first place...
= Focus Biff
Right! Let's get straight to the action!

'*\ Wind League /*'

Alpha Division
= This is practically a two team race, While Grass Fed still has a mathematical chance at winning the division, yeah math... Anyway, Because of how Beta is doing there are no guarantees unless you win the Division!
1 . . . . 03 Skers . . . . 7- 4-0
2 . . . The Concept . . . 7- 4-0
3 Grass Fed (All Builds Open) 4- 6-1
4 Oklahoma State Cowboys. 1-10-0
03 SkersPimp slap the Phoenix Scorpions, 23-0.
= D.Cs love them some shut-out foo' ball! Now, Phoenix ran the ball decently averaging 4.2 per rush, problem was they didn't get a chance to rush often enough. While the passing game was assisted by a solid effort by the O-line in giving up no sacks, they were forced to settle for check downs or weak screen plays that got few yards. A truly outstanding effort by the 03 Skers' pass coverage units.
The Concept keep a clear conviction as they clobber the Luna Wolves, 14-0.
= The Concept followed the 03 Skers' concept of shut-out defense to keep pace with their rival div leaders. Or did the Skers copy them? Whoever, the point is the D did the do until the offense could finally wear down a valiant effort by Luna's finest in the fourth. Five and a half minutes into a scoreless fourth quarter and game, Concept's QB, The Director handed off to FB The Boulder for a 1 yard touchdown to take the lead! They got an insurance TD when HB The Feint scampered in for a 1 yard goal line crosser at 4:33 left to play.

Beta Division
= The House Of Drunken Lads have virtually ran away with this divisional title needing only one more victory to seal the deal! But it ain't over for the Whoppers or BAD as they still are at the top of a congested Wild Card race... We don't talk about Luna...
1 House Of Drunken Lads 10-1-0
2 Burger King Whoppers 7-4-0
3 Blitz Ain't Dead 7-4-0
4 . Luna Wolves . 4-7-0
Grass Fed (All Builds Open) had a House Of Drunken Lads fall on them, 0-66.
= Another defensive shutout, this time also a blow out! The Lads didn't have to stop the Grass Fed offense they just had to contain them, and contain them they did. Meanwhile HB Sterling Archer had himself a day! 226 RecYds that included 4 RecTDs, 296 yards were YAC, 194.5 RushYds and a rush TD to boot! he also rumbled for 16 BrkTk!
Death Valley Heat get the cold shoulder by their own HC as his personally owned Blitz Ain't Dead dowse them, 0-42.
= The DVH owner tried and failed at handling the offensive game planning. BAD ran for 284.5 yards on a rain soaked day and the BAD pass rush were anything but, generating 7 sacks, they also caused 3 FFums while recovering 2 of those. Four games this week so far and four shut-outs!

Gamma Division
= Despite having only the 2nd best record in the league, Louisville Mavericks have already clinched the Gamma division. With so many teams in Alpha and Beta battling it out in the lead of the Wild Card race, Turbo is on the outside looking in. Heat and Scorpions too, obviously.
1 Louisville Mavericks 8-2-1
2 . Turbo Techies . 4-7-0
3 Death Valley Heat 3-8-0
4 Phoenix Scorpions 3-8-0
Oklahoma State Cowboys can say at least they scored at home as Turbo Techies take this one, 10-31.
= Techies' HB T - 800 rushed for 158.5 RushYds and 2 RushTDs to overcome the Cowboys' defensive efforts as the Cowboys own offense was hampered by not only the terrific Turbo Techies' defenders but the heavy rains as well as they tried and failed to come back via the passing game throwing three picks.
Louisville Mavericks feast on Burger King Whoppers, 36-6.
= When the Mavs asked the BK Whoppers if they could have the opening kickoff the Whoppers said no. The Mavs proceeded to tell them," Have it your way then!" and commenced a spirited GotW that saw the Whoppers score twice unanswered in the 1st quarter but the angered Mav D held them to only FGs. After that it was all Mavericks all the time. The Mavs rattled off four TDs and three FGs of their own to win this slip and slide game that saw 8 evenly split turnovers grace the field.

I could be wrong, but due to the tie breaker rules, Blitz Ain’t Dead, has the wildcard 🔒

03 Skers have like a 99% 🔒 on Alpha, even if they lose as they have a big gap on points allowed vs Concept.

Concept lost to BAD, so they can’t win the tiebreaker.

If I am wrong, someone correct me.

Biff Barf here, I'm soaking up all the news and barfing it back at you! Along with my trusty colleague, Spaceman Spiff, we're setting up your questions and knockin'em down the answer commode!
= Always a way with words with you Biff.
Spank yew, tank-ewe-berry-mush.
= . Ninja had one about the play-offs for us
Playoffs?! PLAYOFFS!? Are you talking about playoffs?!
= Watch it Biff, that might be copy write material.
Whaat? J.J. that is, I'e only just begun to plagiarize! Let's get straight to the action!

(Teams in the) WIND(, all we are is teams in the wind) LEAGUE

Alpha Division
1 03 Skers 9-4-0 Third place Div winner
2 The Concept 8-5-0
3 Grass Fed (All Builds Open) 5-7-1
4 Oklahoma State Cowboys 1-12-0
03 Skers ride them hard and put Oklahoma State Cowboys away wet, 47-0.
= The win gives the 03 Skers the Divi-Title as they can now ride a one game lead into, at worse a tie, against closest competitor (Skers own the tie break). Skers rushed for over 200 yards and the D nabbed 11 sacks. The 'boys were not helped by Owner TheBigBo14 going inactive with no staff despite his team being a franchise.
Grass Fed (All Builds Open) opened a can of upset whup ass on The Concept, 17-10.
= This is why they play the game. Now The Concept was not to lose the game against BAD and this one too! But that is what happened, making this one grass fed lump of L for the visitors and at least something to look forward to next season for the homies.

Beta Division
1 House Of Drunken Lads 12-1-0 Home field advantage winner
2 Blitz Ain't Dead 9-4-0 Wild card
3 Burger King Whoppers 7-6-0
4 Luna Wolves 4-9-0
House Of Drunken Lads make the Luna Wolves play fetch with an ugly stick, 23-7.
= The win secures that home cooking for the fan base as the Lads drink dem some screen plays in the cold rain with a little run twist added for flavor. LB Walker Brinkley had himself a double shot of INT with a freezing wet day chaser to boot.
Burger King Whoppers get eaten with a side of fries by Blitz Ain't Dead, 14-37.
= See Blitz still ain't dead as they get a wild card ticket. I think the Whoppers were had BAD style as they allowed over 200 yards rushing and 21 unanswered points in the first. This hurt even more because they had won the (cherry, or was that apple?)turnover battle. Clearly the BK playoff fries have long since gone cold.
Ugh! I hate cold fires!
= You said it Biff.

Gamma Division
1 Louisville Mavericks 10-2-1 2nd place Division winner
2 Turbo Techies 5-8-0
3 Phoenix Scorpions 4-9-0
4 Death Valley Heat 3-10-0
Death Valley Heat get shade thrown on them by Louisville Mavericks, 3-17.
- This was a tale of two defenses. One with little offensive support which kept the Ls piling up and the Mav's which at least could count on WR Miles Nimbus VI who went off for 125 receiving yards and a TD on six catches. Sure the Heat D had little give me as they held Louisville to no points in the first & fourth quarters, but they got no play from their offense as the Mavericks' D stole two picks and stonewalled the constant run attempts to a meager two yards a pop.
Phoenix ScorpionsGet trounced to Timbuktu by Turbo Techies, 3-41.
= A total table tip to take Ah! Ty totally tit tigh tongue! Tease, telp tee ow here Tiff!
OK, I think my friend said, uh he said," I- wow look at the honkers on that one! I'd totally tongue lash that babe!"
= Tie TID NAH! (I did not!)
Well either that or he bit his tongue, one of the two. Let's see, The turbo Techies' unrelenting passing attack just overwhelmed the Phoenix coverage unit despite CB DeMarcus Carr's three tackles, Int, and PD. Over 500 passing yards on a cold rainy day that made the rock as hard to catch as a... um, rock. See this is why I don't do color commentary! All right we outie 5000, see yah!

Well it's finally over, for the teams that didn't get to the dance at least. Biff Barf here! Soaking up the news and barfing it back at you! Twelve teams lined up and only four were admitted to the dance. But that's something for Spaceman Spiff to ejaculate on.
= You've been reading those Conan novels again haven't you.
Yes! I just finished Conan The Librarian and now I'm going for Conan the Octogenarian!
Um, OK... (Someone tell him those are spoof novels and not part of either series) Let's get back on topic, shall we?
Sure, Final week games are through and...
= And?
Let's get straight to the action By Crumbs!
= That's Crom Biff.
Whatever

(The } Wind League( & the Lion)... 1975 film & season 73

Alpha Division
1 03 Skers 9-5-0
2 The Concept 9-5-0
3 Grass Fed (All Builds Open) 6-7-1
4 Oklahoma State Cowboys 1-13-0
Grass Fed (All Builds Open)finish off the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 44-0.
= HB Join the GLB2 Academy Discord ran for almost 280 yards and five, count them FIVE TDs! LB Speed Useless Without Control threw in three and a half sacks, four hurries, a PD, a FFum and the FumRecovery to lead the defense. All as the Grass Fed dismantled the inactive owner led Cowboys.
The Conceptwas to beat the 03 Skers, 19-16, so they did.
= The Concept didn't care if they had a snowballs chance in hell to make the dance. They played to win. Jumping out to a 19-3 lead half way through the third quarter before the Skers' finally got going to start their comeback, the Concept's own were already there. HB The Feint (175 RushYds, 1 RushTD, and 58 RecYds) and DE The Stroke (3 Sacks & 5 Hries) Lead the game clock killing until it was too late for the 03 to make 3 to go to OT.

Beta Division
1 House Of Drunken Lads 13-1-0
2 Blitz Ain't Dead 9-5-0
3 Burger King Whoppers 8-6-0
4 Luna Wolves 4-10-0
Burger King Whoppers fry up some Luna Wolves, 10-3.
= Well slap on some lettuce and smother me in ketchup, these Whoppers just don't quit. Held scoeless in the first, the BK offense served up a second quarter TD as HB Carson Moss powered in for a 4 yard gain. Later that same quarter K Austin Huff drilled home 36 yard field goal. After that the Luna Wolves D once again rallied to shut them doqn. The Wolves' problem was their O couldn't launch any effective drive after they had missed a golden opportunity in the first from the opponents 17 to kick a FG. They did make a 50 yarder late in the fourth but it was too little too late.
Blitz Ain't Dead get hammered by House Of Drunken Lads, 14-24.
= Blitz didn't need the win but they wanted it. The Lads had other ideas. Blitz jumped out to a 14-3 halftime lead and looked like they could pull off the upset and get into the playoffs in style. Then they had to stop HB Sterling Archer and his drunken monk style of running. But, you can't stop him, You can only hope to contain him! They did contain him to less than a hundred yards rushing but they couldn't keep him out of the zone where he got two touchdowns. For The House that was enough to seal the deal and they added a third when half way through the fourth, LDE DE 2 forced a hurried bomb by QB Barney Gumble to WR2 Cap Waters, who made the catch for a 38 yard touchdown! It still only counts as one win!

Gamma Division
1 Louisville Mavericks 11-2-1
2 Turbo Techies 6-8-0
3 Phoenix Scorpions 4-10-0
4 Death Valley Heat 3-11-0
Phoenix Scorpions fall in final game to Louisville Mavericks, 10-34.
= Scorpions are another franchise team with their owner going AWOL on them. This despite not even being on the bottom of their division and being far more successful than the OS Cowboys. Louisville didn't care. The Mavs rattled off two unanswered TDs in the first quarter then added another in the second before the shell shocked Phoenix team could finally get their dance on in the zone. QB Ethan Cipher IV threw for over 320 yards and two TDs as the Mavs prepare to hit the playoff tourney and the Scorpions, don't.
Turbo Techies Top off their season with a home win over Death Valley Heat, 31-12
= The few CPU players still on roster for the Heat let them down going into the final game of their season. The Techies may be a bunch of bots, but they ain't those kind of bots and it showed as QB Gil 9000 went 38 of 58 and threw for over 320 yards and 3 TDs. The Owner of the Heat was heard saying "We'll be back!" and Turbo's HB T - 800 immediately slapped a copy write infringement on him.

Wind League Playoff Predictions:

House of Drunken Lads vs Blitz Ain't Dead:

Two Beta Division opponents going at it for the 3rd time this season, House of Drunken Lads has the 2-0 series lead, and I don't expect them to drop to 2-1 against Blitz Ain't Dead. Blitz Ain't Dead does have a chance to shock the world here and I think this will be the closest game they play but HODL wins against BAD, 24-21.

03' Skers vs Louisville Mavericks:

In their one regular season game, the Mavericks squeaked by with a win, but to end the season the Skers struggled a little, not much, but a little, to get points on the board while the Mavericks have convincingly dispatched their foes. I'm gonna have to take the Mavericks here, in a 21-13 win.

Biff Barf here! Soaking up all the news and barfing it back at you! Along with my intrepid colleague, Spaceman Spiff, here to wind down your league post season power packed pugilistic pontifications!
- is that even a word?
It is now, Spiff, it is now.
= Well, the four will become two! as-
As the war to end all season 73 conflicts draws down to two combatants! Well, they're actually teams of combatants, who don't actually wage war per se, it's more like a
= Yeah we get the picture Biff, this is why you don't do color commentary remember?
Right, anyway, LET'S GET STRAIGHT TO THE ACTION!

Wind(s of Winter) League PLAY-OFFS!
Semi-finals

House Of Drunken Lads find the hangover more than they can handle as Blitz Ain't Dead refuse to die, 13-28.
= Oh Nelly! This one was a surprise covered by a stunner, all rolled up in an unexpected result! It all started innocently enough with both teams feeling each other out as the Lads kicked 24 yard field goal to draw first blood. In the second, HB Sterling Archer then plunged from the half yard line for a touchdown to widen our soon to be shocker! It didn't take but about a minute and a half before BAD responded. BAD HB Matthew Germ broke free for a 77 yard electrifying, HB off tackle weak, touchdown! But the Blitz were not done yet, (nor dead for that matter) as they had found a huckleberry on the ROT side and powered another, weak side hand-off, play for 5 yards and a TD! The once 10-0 Drunken Lads lead disappeared into a 14-10 sobering, House of woe, deficit at half-time. HoDL never were the same after that as the BAD defense, led by DE 1's 2 FFums, 4 Sacks, 7 Hries, and 8 RCakes, shut them down to a mere FG for their second half scoring. Blitz's HB Matthew Germ had over 200 yards and scored 4 Touchdowns when it was all said and done to cap off an incredible comeback / upset win for the STILL alive Blitz Ain't Dead.
It really is hard to beat a team three times in a row.
= You said a mouthful there Biff.

Louisville Mavericks show the 03 Skers how it's done by winning, 35-7.
= Twenty one unanswered first half points as FB Brock Everstead dropped in two TDs and HB Mason Cascade added another. This pretty much set the plot of the game as the Mavs churned 177 yards from scrimmage on the ground and a 5.9 yards per rock tote. Even though the Skers won the turn-over battle ( 1 FFum to 2 INTs) their offense as a whole was stymied to a mere 30 yards on the ground and less than 200 over the top. This, despite them needing to go to the air as they trailed through out the game. FB Brock Everstead had a stellar day, rushing for 116 yards ( 65.5 after contact due to breaking a whopping 21 tackle attempts) and 3 rushing touchdowns! One of those touchdowns came off a stunning 53 yard punt return which led to him garnering Both OMVP and STMVP honors.

Wind League Superbowl prediction:

We have a surging Blitz Ain't Dead who completely dismantled the great House of Drunken Lads, completely destroying my prediction for the championship round, and the Louisville Mavericks who destroyed the 03Skers.

The regular season matchup was a hard fought defensive slugfest with 3-0 Win for the Mavericks; my instincts tell me that we should see another defensive battle. But my instincts were wrong last week, so I'm going to go out on a limb, and say this is a shootout. Two stout defenses and productive offenses; I think there's a chance this turns into a turnover battle with many short fields. This is the most coin toss of a matchup I can think of, and I'm going to say we get a 42-35 win for the Mavericks.

Great season guys; no matter who wins they are very deserving of the cup. My team will be resetting to rookie, so I won't be in this hellishly competitive league, but all of you kicking my ass has given me a lot of knowledge and experience and I hope some of you re-set to rookie so I can test out my new builds against you all again soon enough.
