Today's game, TTN fired 15 times on 40 pass attempts with a 30% proc rate at silver and 87 pass tech at the moment.

OTR proc rate does not seem to be hurt TTN firing rate at this time.

Small sample size, but an early look at some actual numbers.

How many times did OTR fire?

The First, and ONLY, question at the moment, is how often are they BOTH firing?

If you aren't getting high crossover of both at Gold, then OTR is worthless.

That's huge.

Just finished watching that game and OTR fired on only 9/40 attempts, a surprisingly low number. With your 63.65% chance of it firing at gold + 67 pocket awareness, you would instead expect approximately 25/40 attempts to have triggered OTR - which is interesting because when you combine the total procs of TTN (15) and OTR (9) together you get... 24 - about the number of times that OTR should have procced.

This would seem to suggest a few things:

1. TTN and OTR are 100% mutually exclusive
2. TTN will override OTR when both proc at the same time

Didn't bother looking at OTR proc, but if OTR does not impede TTN from firing, yet still fires at other times when TTN does not fire, it is definitely worthwhile to have both as you will up the chances that one of them triggers on each run while still having TTN with priority.

Much more data needs to be collected and analyzed, but it looks viable right now. I do not have the time to track his full firing rates over the course of the season, or other firing rates.

Just showing that TTN may not be hurt by OTR.

Keep in mind that OTR also requires moving and I did not watch for how many throws involved having set feet. Most of the time there is some shuffle though, so the numbers should still remain close with what you are saying for sure.

How often is a QB really throwing a quality pass while moving though?

I feel like this combo is a test for the dual tbh. The physicals and other minute details may play a factor. I’m assuming a QB that’s better at positioning himself would go a long way.

EX: say on play action your QB has the fluidity to get into his spots but still activate OTR, while he has a man open down field.

Theoretically OTR would offset any jabookie pass and Thread Needle would put that hoe on target.

Theoretically

You mean First Step? First Strike doesn't make you faster....although it does give you a faster snap reaction.
