Yeah, fuck that guy. He was all enthusiasm and energy...until he would vanish without a word to anybody. It's a mistake to put any kind of trust into that motherfucker.

Lol I miss that coaching staff. I get up one day and Bruce is just messaging me like "Where the fuck is the Team?" . Vanished into thin air. The guy picked up and left without a trace. Straight up bounced. On an unrelated note, I also learned that Bruce was very good at zone defense on that team!

But yeah, that must've sucked for you Bruce. I know you guys would legit have phone calls game planning for the team. Probably was an unpleasant surprise when it just disappeared one season.

It was before and after Stobie's scout program -- but to be fair (Stobie - feel free to call me out Stob!) - Stobie asked how I scouted teams back then (pen and paper and a lot of time) and I broke down exactly what I did - incorporated some of my stuff into scout (I'm sure many others contributed as well)


I used pen and paper too. I actually preferred it and didn’t like the idea of a scout tool.

Yeah...I use to watch many games of my next opponent. I always get a better feeling by watching games instead of using numbers.

It was more rewarding to those willing to put in the work along with actually watching games. I didn’t like the idea that you could just pay to know the meta and if you didn’t pay you would be at a huge disadvantage. In the end it did save time and kept me invested longer before I eventually retired.

he was never around long enough to get any credit. I think one of his teams made it a full run rookie to vet. Good agent but never could stay active enough to matter.

Pen and paper is how i started doing it all back in the day. Scout tool made it so much easier and faster for me.

Pen & paper was way too damn time consuming, I hated it...I was extremely too happy when Stobie brought on the Scout Tool.

The first season I started the team I decided to do it by pen and paper to save money. I couldn't do a fraction of the work I can do with Scout. Even now it takes me ages to prepare for games using Scout. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I have no idea how people can coach several teams at one time. I'd have to quit my job! ... and then go back to pen and paper because I have no money.
