Is it really bugs or just more fixes to show the flaw in how bad/single-mindedly many of the dots are built. Realistically speaking I like the changes, they make sense. I think now people will actually have to take the time and figure out how they want to build their teams.

Also, first strike is gonna be ridiculous for CBs I’m calling it now. CB builds are gonna keep getting more and more dangerous and I love it

But yeah, snap reaction in general is going to, or at least should, have a bigger effect than quickness for reacting to the snap. Considering it only does something once per play, it should have a dominant influence on that one thing than something that is relevant all play every play.

Yeah, and of course the minor chance that they flub the roll so much that they just straight up fumble it.

Probably depends on the outcome of scrims tonight to see if it's still monstrously broken.

That's what I was thinking too.

Could also make outside blitzing ridiculous, if both DE and LB get a First Strike on the OT, he's just going to fall down. Likewise, could really trash the DT in a three man front, if the center and both guards get it to hit him.

Sooooo maybe only let it effect a player one time because it'd be super unfair for it to hit 3 times on one player.



Problem with it then is that if he beats 2 guards and then loses to center, he's still gonna be shit out of luck. It's not very fair to have to defend yourself against that many attempts.

Which is why I’m not sure why you had to introduce both an SA and revamp the skill, seems like overkill. The SA alone might’ve been enough to make the skill more worth it just so it is capable of firing. Hopefully this doesn’t highlight the inferiority that offenses have been stuck with since the blocking SP changes way back in like s7 and allows them to actually get cakes like they used to.

I mean, that's a hypothetical use case where multiple players are invested in a skill that's currently ignored and into a new SA with a relatively low chance of firing.

I'd rather wait to see if it's actually unfair rather than getting rid of a potential use/tactic.

It's still a possibility, and it's kinda unfair to let it effect a player multiple times in a single snap. Maybe if it had a decreased effect with multiple hits it'd be okay - but that's just asking for shenanigans

I was thinking about that when I wrote the actual effect, so there's a sort of diminishing return on multiple hits -- it makes you lose a percentage of current value instead of a flat hit per "attack." There's also the usual resist abilities on the morale stuff. Of course if it turns out to be a big issue I'll tweak it to reduce the value of multiple hits on a single target or something.
