MadCow's LB has very good tackling skills. Missing 20% is an issue with the sim, not the build.

Hey buddy, it's a "×" not an "x". I can however forgive you for having short term memory loss from the combination of his powerful running and the excessive hash consumption.

I hate strip tech. Isn't worth the investment IMHO. Even if you strip the ball loose the offense recovers the ball like 70% of the time. And with all the high scoring offenses, turnovers aren't as important, unless you build an elite defense and limit the number of possessions the opposing offense has.

not worthless, but not ideal. But it was the style of the team.

I feel it depends on the team. 30% chance of getting the ball is still 30% better than nothing. I think that if youre playing to limit the amount of time the opponent has the ball then its not a super bad idea.
For the SP investment is it ideal on most teams? Probably not. Could it be worth it on the right teams? Sure

Strip tech is actually very good. I personally like it a lot for forcing fumbles, as strip tech fumbles leave the tackler on his feet and capable of recovering the fumble he forced, while power tackling fumbles leave the tackler on the ground and requires another defender to recover the fumble. Strip tech fumbles are MUCH more likely to be recovered by the defense.

I agree, my LB Drunken Monkey is having a hell of a season thanks to strip tech and gold opportunist...

One of the few bright spots for my defense.

Very much overrated. We had a whole defense invest in it and the benefits did not out weight the cost.

S* LB.
I used the entire vet bonus and boost SP in Strip tech to take it from 14 to 80 in S15 along with silver opportunist SA.
S14 - 4.8% FF rate
S15 - 12.2% FF rate
S16 - 21% FF rate
This season team owner asked me to respec for more deflecting and movement as my LB would be taking on more coverage duties. I removed all investment in strip tech in exchange for third down stopper and more deflecting, footork, quickness, and sprinting
S17 - 9% FF rate, 82% of those fumbles came in blowout games, only 1 was against quality competition.
Yes it's expensive, and unlike power tackling, which has two functions (fumbles and combating power rushing), Strip tech only has one function of forcing fumbles, however it's a lot more powerful at forcing fumbles IMO, and this player isn't the only experiment I've done in strip tech. If you're chasing fumbles, it's your best bet... but obviously it's a luxury due to the cost, while power tackling has a very real value in this sim.

Just to add some more data on strip tech, my S* SS had zero investment in strip tech before this season, then I did a re-spec and took it up to 70 and added gold opportunist. It looks like his forced fumble rate roughly doubled from last season to this season. (Both seasons he had 100 power tackle and gold monster hit). Of his 21 forced fumbles this season, about 8 occurred in contested games, the rest were in complete blowouts.
