The CPU Challenge continues. My team still in last place! I hope that changes when I'm out of town all next week and vipermaw takes over the helm for 8 days.

Pink and Black Attack has done very well! 11-2 and currently #5 rookie team. They face DD4.0 - b00ns squad who is also 11-2 and ranked #3. This would be quite the upset for paba. After that Paba faces Siberian Cold Front - 10-3 #13 squad in rookie. Would be an amazing 2-0 stretch...but could also be a down to earth 0-2. Will be interesting!

Fvck Off is 10-3 and #11 in tier. They face 11-2 #3 Superbowl Shuffle. Gonna be tough. After that they have a winnable game against an 8-5 league opponent.

Science Fair is 9-4 and ranked #15. Ladder against a 6-6-1 team....then league against a 6-7 team. At least a chance to go 2-0.

We may all be 11-4 after the next two games.

PaBa plays pretty darn good against DD4.0 but can't hang on for the win. Paba got a lead in the 3rd qtr...but DD then scored 14 unanswered to win by 10. Stat lines looks REALLY close in terms of total yards. DD4.0 somehow throws for 70% completion on 47 attempts which is sickening.

Paba drops to 11-3 and #8 (currently)

Fvck Off plays in a few hours

Science Fair takes advantage of the 6-6-1 opponent and wins 54-3. 10-4 and #13

I'm curious how my rookie team would do against the mostly CPU rosters with decent gameplans and a few human key positions.

I generally am unless I can tell at a glance the team is awful.

I've got a scrim incoming to you - hopefully you have real O and D as your default

Like today - I didn't -and I really screwed my players out of ~25 extra sacks probably (guy ran a ton of 5WR and I had it set for some kind of inside QB run stoppin 5-2 garbage)

Thanks! And yup, my default has all of my normal stuff, it's what I use in league/ladder. I don't think there's going to be a point in gameplanning until my offense has enough SP to start doing what it's built for.

Curious if it's hit the point where it can overcome mostly CPU players (it's clearly not anywhere near ready against the top half of the human players)

I would guess a pure run team with good plays being run would showcase the randomness of defense points spent. I'd kind of expect run focused blockers would be somewhat obvious and that my D will have trouble stopping you.

But we'll see. I'm running my mostly generic run d - and the same O I've run several games in a row (minor tweaks)

You'd be surprised, I've had to boost my FB, WR's, and TE's because they kept getting blown up so much it made it really hard to tell how my o-line was doing. My Guards have equal speed and RBT, so they're losing a decent amount of blocks when not pulling...which can often cause the pullers or guys hitting the 2nd level to double back. It's a mess right now.

But if they're CPU and randomly assigned points, maybe the blockers can hold on long enough for everyone to actually fulfill their normal assignments?

Good:

Bad:

The worst part is my TE's got beat by someone who can no longer count to 10 on his fingers.

Had a terrible O day (or you had a good D day...either way) and just couldn't string any drives together. Made it not even matter that I also had some bad D plays in the book

Game definitely wasn't close.

Your mostly CPU defenders revcaked my blockers 61 times to my 21 pancakes. Ouch. A lot of the TFL were just blockers getting blown up or tossed aside. If this is any indication, it's going to be awhile before they can stop being a liability against human defenders.

I was hoping my Tunnel Vision focused d-line would win more against CPU blockers, definitely wasn't the case. Although this was pretty funny, let's hold in both of the TE's on Short Hooks while letting the RB run a route.

Ya - that was good. CPU WR came through though beating the double coverage!
