maybe MEM and LogZilla's rushing defenses are just really fucking good.

Maybe a rushing offense contributes to cutting down on the time the opponent has the ball?

At least that's probably part of what MEM's defense has going for it.

No idea about LogZilla, but they don't seem to be having the greatest season so far.

Think you missed the mark on that one. 2 in the top 40 or whatever. But that is neat you used teams that pass.

If you're making the argument that "run every single and down" isn't the optimal offensive strategy, my response would be "working as intended".

If you're making the argument that "pass every single down" is the optimal strategy, my response would be "you're right, but it shouldn't be".

To be fair two of the three are run by me meaning they will naturally share pretty similar results. Also i can say both have rediculous defenses that i believe contribute more than my offenses.

bullying you as usual. in this case your opinion that rushing is "balanced" at the moment. but as long as you think it is everything should be fine

LogZilla

S11 Vet
Record vs. 70%+ Run: 9-0
Record vs. 70%+ Pass: 8-5

S12 Vet
Record vs. 70%+ Run: 3-1
Record vs. 70%+ Pass: 3-2

More teams have embraced a Pass heavy Offense, particularly teams that hang in the Top 20 of the Ladder. As such the Meta has morphed. LogZilla was built as a Run-stop D and Pass O when most other teams were Running heavy. LogZilla was contra-Meta. Now LZ is on-Meta.

Pretty much explains it.

Doesn't sound like he's ignoring it. Sounds to me like he hasn't fixed it yet. Thus, get ready for the S13 Pass nerf.

Some additional info since LZ Boys have had a consistent roster and tactics during the last few seasons.

Here is Defensive Data:

Seasoned S8 37% Run 4.8ypa 63% Pass 6.4ypa
Journeyman S9 34% Run 4.2ypa 66% Pass 5.7ypa
Pro S10 35% Run 3.7ypa 65% Pass 5.8ypa
Vet S11 34% Run 3.6 ypa 66% Pass 5.9ypa
Vet S12 29% Run 4.2 ypa 71% Pass 5.9ypa

Run% has dropped from 37% to 29% of plays from opposing teams over 5 seasons; a 21% decline in rushing plays called. With the exception of the S12 uptick (which may be due to a smaller sample size), rushing ypa against went down each season. Thus leading to less called rushing plays in the future.
