Gonna post more from scrims

Are you guys not seeing the containment? If the HB keeps going outside, he gets stopped for less yards. I love that they turn up field and try to get the most yards they can. On both plays, the outside is contained.

I can't tell if you're joking, but I'm guessing you're not - which is probably why your team is garbage.

Give me a break dude. On this play:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/198870/2855770

If both the HB and FS keep running towards the sideline like they use to do, he would have gotten tackled at about the 6 yard line. Instead, he cuts up field and gets to the 4.

And no, I am not joking.

That being said, there have some questionable decisions by the runners.

Again...he made the correct decision. You have to slow down the play to see what happened. Look at tick 42. You will see that the FS has the angle on the QB and if both keep running outside, the QB will get tackled at about the 29 yard line. Instead, he cuts up field and gets to the 31.

The plays moves so fast, it is hard to see "what would happen" if the old logic was in place (they always run to the sideline).

It just looks very bad in normal speed because you are thinking the FS was blocked the entire time while the QB was making the decision.

Tick 72 he should have gone outside.

Look at tick 47. Should have gone outside right there.

Look at tick 45, FS is completely engaged and the QB cuts inside anyway

Well yeah...if he can stop on a dime again and move outside.

He cut inside before the FS was engaged...which is why the FS got engaged in the 1st place.

My point is, these runners are making the correct initial decision of cutting up field if the outside is taken away, which if you slow down all these plays, that is what is happening.

I'm still playing devils advocate here...but the LOLB forced him back inside.

I do like the idea of what someone said earlier about having a tactic where the runner can either try to beat the defender to the sideline or cut up field if they see an opening.
