I don't normally like to risk stopping short stuff against goal line because rollouts will shred inside run D. But that doesn't mean it can't be done. You will also find that when I face rookie/soph teams I get the short and medium plays called exactly when I want.

I'd say simplifying tactics ought to be near the top of corndog's list since even veterans of the game still debate the functionality.

GG Steve. Didn't get to watch much because lol mobile and I don't GLB on the weekends, but looks like we fell apart in the 3rd.

I'll break things down in my after action review tomorrow and give additional thoughts but glad we had a competitive game.

they recruited guys on our outside forum because they needed superstars, I just got tired of making them because it takes so long

I knew I had to control the ball in order to keep my defense fresh(er). While my defense is more run-centric, we're still relatively balanced and we don't have the needed depth for solo teams with my split d-line. I end up having to try and keep play counts low.

Your defensive players did well to get off some blocks. Makes a big difference.
