If you review my defense, you'd see teams have called 48 goal line offensive calls. We've responded with:

Inside Rush Plays:
- 4-3 C1 Wide Dogs, 3 times for 8.3 YPC
- 4-3 Cover 1 Man Under, 1 time for 1 YPC
- 4-3 Middle Overload, 1 time for 2.0 YPC

Outside Rush Plays:
- 4-3 C1 Wide Dogs, 14 times for 4.2 YPC and 4 TFLs
- 4-4 Zero LB Dogs, 12 times for 1.4 YPC and 4 TFLs
- 4-3 Cover 1 Man Under, 9 times for 6.2 YPC and 3 TFLs
- Dime 3-2-6 Edge 2 Buzz, 5 times for -1.4 YPC and 3 TFLs
- 4-3 Shallow Sam Blitz, 1 time for 5 YPC
- 4-3 Middle Overload, 1 time for 3.0 YPC

Passes (screen)
- 4-3 C1 Wide Dogs, 1 time for incompletion

soooooo overpowered I can't handle it. We've played rock, paper, scissors. Making the right play calls to fit a teams calls. And btw the above includes our early season/low chem game vs the Stunners.

Stunners ran for 65 yards on 6 plays from GL against you. 1 pitch for 10+ yards. Run GLB worked you with GL as well as each of their pitches went for 7+ yards and their QB rollout got 1 TFL, 1 for no yards, and 3 gains of 7, 24, and 16. And I imagine Baggins has put into some passing stats. Otherwise you have hardly faced much in terms of running otherwise.

Not at all. If I were looking for that I would hate 2 WR formation just as much. But the point is that 2 WR formations is actually rock/paper/scissors. GL is not.

Baggins is like facing a Seasoned Rushing QB. Nothing to brag home about, so yeah, until Romo plays the Virgins those stats don't mean much.

Sadness. I need to beef up for all these run teams coming up the ranks.

I imagine it is a lot like me playing against WCW earlier and then getting mauled by INHS in our league game. 2 completely different animals. I am sure WCW will be quite stout next season with the extra SP's as well.

To be fair, they have said that every season since rookie....so there's that.

I told bhall via chat this morning that if I see 4-4 Zero LB Dogs I'll generally just pass on the goal line formation calls altogether.

Looks like you ran GL Sweep against us 9 times in our game earlier this season. We run zero LB dogs. 4TFL / 2 for 0 and then 14, 17, 22

Sure the TFL can hurt -- but breaking off one of every 3 for 14+ completely removes the pain of a TFL

Edit to add: you ran GL sweep 9 times, GL inside 4 times - so 13 of 54 offensive plays for 24% of your plays.
and - against my GL formation you ran 4-3 cover 2 man under which seems like a strange decision

Step 1: Point out bad defensive calls
Step 2: Point out bad builds for good defensive calls
Step 3: Point out TFL's
Step 4: Point out not giving TD's
Step 5: umm...
Step 6: Nerf to all formations. Keep GL.

honestly i think 47 missed tackles has way more to do with it than any sort of gameplanning

in all honesty there is no such thing as a good goal line defense because every solution out there gets killed by something else. if goal line actually worked then it would be a different story im hoping the plays ill be suggesting will get picked and then we may have something resembling an anti goal line cheese

Thanks, now WCW has a chance to be the top pure rushing team in Vet after Minnesota goes away.
