I left it in , against a scrub team, and it kept 3 extra blockers in A LOT!

I never keep extra blockers in before that, probably won't ever again either

My experience has been that the AI will auto-adjust to what is working. If your opponent was a scrub team then you effectively didn't get a good feel for it. I've done that extra blocker bit with all positions and it will eventually auto-adjust to running routes when certain dots are on the field and blocking when other dots are on the field. Screws up with your 1st quarter success a lot but by 4th quarter it is quite accurate (unless your opponent uses multiple defensive formations for the same offensive situation).

Personally I've not found the FB and HB to be great blockers in general because people tend to blitz with the same guys they use to cover the FB/HB. So this is very defensive specific and as a general case didn't give me any benefits.

My 2 cents on that has always been to scout the defense of the other side, if they are run blockers on strong side only, never use the TE to block (or do that only if the weak side is 100% pass rusher not mixed and force left side blocking 100% of the time). The protection against ROLB/RDE blitzers that a blocking TE (even a receiving TE) on the weak side gives you is usually pretty big. But then again I find more value in not losing yards then I do in big gains.

Thanks for doing that wise, I definitely need help in understanding how to make half-way decent OAI's so this should be of great help I think. Now I can learn why I suck so badly

That was quick. I see already that one of my biggest issues is that I tried to make use of most all of the plays (at least around 300 of them or so) and you seem to focus only maybe 20 or so. Guess I'll need to play close attention to figure out why this works better then versatility. Seems like it would be too easy to defense against.

You only get like 70 plays a game. If you have 300 plays in your ai each play only runs once every 4 games. All plays we not at all equally good. Having too many plays is the equivalent of letting glb do absolutely random shit then hoping for the best. Way way way less than optimal. Don't worry about dcs game planning against you unless you are in world league. Much better to do things that work...

WiSeIVIaN Rocks!

Got a look at this thing today..

very easy to follow and setup..

pay attention to what he is telling you about play types, if you do even a rookie OC is gonna have a solid OAI and put up some great numbers! The plays you pick make all the difference..

WiSeIVIaN

Might be the most effect and yet easy to use OAI I've seen in a long time... but even better was your details on play types... i learned much! even after 7 years of doing this lol.. who says old dogs can't learn a few more tricks!
