I only listed drawn plays, not 'ideas'.

I don't know why my play makes no sense. I use it successfully in GLB1 against spam. That was the whole point for me suggesting this. That crap doesn't work against me in GLB1 because plays can be made to counter. What's the point of a hundred more cover 2s? When all rush teams can still do 20 rollouts out of a formation for a 20+ yard average. Is it the dropping the NT into zone to stop cut backs? To each their own I guess, always worked for me.

I played some Whoping Crane team in GLB which spammed rollouts and no one could stop them. They got like 58 yards on 57 carries and lost to my team that was 9 levels behind them. That play was a big part of it. It is the inability to counter that crap here that is what is going to eventually make me sail of into the sunset prematurely.

sorry - I wasn't saying anything about YOUR play - I was just saying in general - probably plenty of plays submitted that aren't practical.

Sorry this one is upside down. My computers Internet was acting up so I took a picture and went through the process on my phone. The play is Cover 2 LB Zone for the nickel formation. It features the LOLB blitzing the QB and the MLB dropping back to play zone coverage in the middle of the field. The DLine is shifted towards the weak side, and the Safeties are a bit wider apart than you would normally see. I think this would be a great play to stop all passing teams and can be pretty much be spammed against 3 Wide sets. It should also bring back some importance to coverage LB's, seeing as alot of people are just plain blitzing the QB these days. Contest winner- probably not, good play- I would think so.

You're leaving the TE uncovered?

Yeah, plays that are made to stop one kind of play but give a free TD to any other aren't likely to be added.

I'm fine with like a 70-20-10 hypothetical effectiveness spread, but a 100-0-0 spread is not very practical.

I personally don't mind the risk. If you know what the bad guys are going to do before the game and then why call plays that are not going to work?

First down QB roll-out right for 4 yards. Second down QB roll out right for -1 yards. You think you finally have a play that works at this point. Then 3rd down QB roll-out right for a 77 yard gain and a TD! You dink and dunk your way for a hard fought score to tie the game. Then the second play of their next drive is a 73 yard TD on another QB roll-out right. You then miss a 19 yard FG and just like that it's 21-7. My play is a GL(zero WR outside run) play their are only three things that really can happen out of the GL offense. Outside run, inside run, or a screen that will likely be dropped because a 100% rushing QB threw it. But you know that team only calls roll-outs.

Even if I could use that play everyone would still get blocked for ten minutes and the QB would still stroll in untouched for a 74 yard TD.

I don't care who makes the plays I just hope we get some that help damper what seem like exploit plays to me. I mean here is the current version of a zero WR outside tun defense. Talk about free TD.

Thanks for doing this. There are some great ideas and plays so far.

The C2 also help a little against the inside run, while C3 helps against outside runs.

Those...aren't Cover 2s or Cover 3s.

Not saying they're good or bad, but those are weird Cover 0 Robbers or something.

I kinda like it. Gives reason to put some Zone SA's on safeties actually.

Would probably need some damn good cover corners but an Eye on the Prize safety might really be neat with that.

Meh, I don't know what the hell you call them, I just made up some names. I don't follow American football so don't know what the actual terminology is Heck, I don't even know what an actual Nickel or Dime is, I think it's 5 or 10 cents but don't know which way around they are. I just know that having guys cover zones closer to the line of scrimmage rather than the deep zones would be nice.

But would the SA's actually fire? The restrictions on when the zone SA's trigger are pretty severe.
