Thats what my team had been doing all year...Their rookie now but in the next few seasons I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Most teams are built for either a 3-4 or 4-3.

if you aren't capable of running 4-3 base, 4-4 base, and 3-2-6 dime, you're doing something wrong

Ground Assault isn't capable of running anything but a 5-2.

Operating theory: defensive alignment and playcalling isn't as important as building players to run whatever you do choose to call really, really well. Running playcalls to which builds aren't suited isn't a desirable thing to do.

Ground Assault is the exception to just about everything. That defense is absolutely loaded with superstars (they will be REALLY scary once they hit Gold Spin Cycle next season). I'm really jealous of Ground Assault's defensive identity. It would be so nice to spend a maximum of 30 seconds scouting opponents.

I switch between 3 man fronts and 4 man fronts all the time. One of the keys to a successful defense is flexibility because unlike offense if you specialize on defense (overall, not individual players) there will always be a large segment of teams that steamroll you.

As far as ground assault goes, outside running from a well built run-heavy/all-run team kills just about all 5-2 plays in my experience. Maybe they will be the exception due to superior builds though. There are no absolutes in this game! Will be interesting to see.

except we have s* safeties and a S* cb that are built to contain the outside run. one of our cbs already almost has 50 break run block.

Which is why you are strong against rush teams, but will be vulnerable against passing teams.

For now. Eventually our safties will be able to cover and then teams will be doomed. I mean lester is sitting at a 38% recpetion against rate and will only get better.
