If these ladies sent pictures to people and they shared them,I would not have near the sympathy as I do in this instance. These were stolen from a source that most people would not think is able to be stolen from in that manner. Odds are, most of them did not even know they were being stored.

It was not carelessness, it was not understanding the technology and how it could be exploited. Totally different things.

how do you not know that checking 'pictures' means that your pictures will be backed up to the cloud?
ed: and if you do know that, then you should also know that once something hits any part of the internet world, it has the potential to be taken.

So it's Apple's fault that Deathblade and these women don't know how to use the Cloud?

Would we also be blaming the women if someone broke into their home and stole polaroids from a safe?

You're highlighting your own idiocy. Nobody would have nude pictures of themselves in a safe at their house, ducy? Everyone implying that these women are blameless needs to go read up on how iCloud works.

It appears that Apple was negligent in not utilizing some of the most basic security methods.

You are lead to believe that the cloud is secure. It is not like they uploaded them to photobucket and had it set to "public".

Feel free to expand on exactly which security methods Apple failed to utilize to prevent what is likely multiple hackers from spending years gathering photos from multiple devices in a scandal they're denying any part of.

I mean, your card information is stored, therefore it's your fault if the company gets hacked and the info leaked? You had more money than other people though, so it's YOUR fault for using it. Should have been more responsible than to purchase from Apple or Amazon.
