Just would like to point out that Hawaii is one of the teams I've watched least since the changes but ok.

Yeah middle overload blows up every spread run, so yeah 'bad play design' I guess. The box is stacked because why not run a middle overload blitz if I'm going to stop a run up the gut OR get a TFL for 6 yards on the HB?

Except if I run HB Sting instead of HB Sweep, the defense knows the difference even tho they both start in the same direction.

Now, if you want to make the LB's make Pursuit checks on things like HB Sting (so maybe that plays becomes something that gains yards more than 1 in 4 times), I might be persuaded you're on to something. Or maybe if the Counter plays actually caused the defense to over run the ball like they are supposed to (and that's a play that even works in the NFL better than it does in simball).

Granted the defenders running into the backfield (without being set to blitz) at the snap seems a bit rash. Might want to look into that.

There's a way to exploit people loading the box.

At least after rookie.

I changed baseline power blocking values from 25 to 20.

That isn't the change that caused the dramatic drop in ypc across teams everywhere, you know that.

Defenders running much faster than offensive players. Defenders who run right to the best place to make the plays.

Noticed this too, really weird seeing our HBs and other teams HBs get chased down so quickly.

Um, yeah, again, they can see where the offense is going.

There's a pretty big difference in sprinting towards the sideline and sprinting towards the line at a slight angle.

Naw I love the challenge both your teams possess.

I mean, surely you understand that the defense doesn't have a hardcoded "go to this spot to stop this play" written for every offensive play for every defensive play?

Defense movement is based on where the ball carrier is, the direction the ball carrier is moving, and blockers.

If he is heading vertical instead of horizontal, is it not logical for the defense to react to that and vice versa?

- Defenses should react better to certain outside rushes

So what did this boost to defenses? Pursuit/speed?

Uh, neither?

Changes can be made without just adding to attributes.

What did it do, because that's probably what gave super powers, although I don't know what making blocks in the open field more difficult meant either.

Mainly made defenders aim for where the rusher is going instead of where he currently is.

Well as long as other are complaining about stuff, I'll take a swing at it.

Waaah, make it so my TEs can catch passes at WR5 again, Waaaaah.

Ok, I feel better.

Bhall, made a good point earlier in the thread, they can just get rid of Goalline Formation for all I care. I've never liked it in either scrim.

Why are they supposed to know where he's going and that there are no cutbacks in glb
