You can't even beat a team with only 16 human owned dots.

I'm on my 100% passing AI. I'm a run team. Go figure.

I'm sure we'll hear variations of that all season lol.

Midnight Marauders - decent team, but is just not able to compete with the better PWG teams as evident from their multiple losses to PWG teams in S40.

Not saying I have cares ... but most of last season's PWG "losses" were air attack tourney games, where the PWG teams forgot to care, and used their regular AI and forfeited.

I forgot to apply my 33 SP's on my dots for a rookie team. Good thing I OC them, or it might have been a loss.

You tied us and I haven't done my training,SPs or set players tactics yet so that's a strange game outcome

Quit acting like a pre-teen who got their feelings hurt because someone said something about them they didn't like. Sorry if you don't like it, but I see EH finishing with around a 10-6 record and a 1st or 2nd round exit from the playoffs, similar to last season. You don't like what I am saying about EH? THEN PROVE ME WRONG BY BEATING MY EXPECTATIONS WITH EH THIS SEASON!!! But don't whine about it like a little girl...

Yeah about that.....

So, totally ignoring my week #4, #8, and #12 adjusted predictions where I saw EH's progress and increased their rank, even above my team, you still go back to my pre-season rankings...

But I will give credit where it's due....EH's defense is awesome, plugged nearly every hole I found and just shut my ass down. EH's offense is still meh.

And a quality owner/coordinator would simply say GG like bryceps2 did and leave it at that, but you had to remind everyone how butt hurt you were back in the pre-season and rub the win in here. What little respect I had for you is now gone, and I doubt I am alone in that thinking.

And before anyone says I am just mouthing off out of anger of the loss, I said it several times during my regular season predictions, I made a few changes for this season that just are not working out like I had hoped and thus have a weaker team this season. While disappointing, today's loss did not surprise me as I ranked EH above me nearly all season.

Did we not beat your expectations? Ends up you described your own team.

Let's see. You called us punching bags. You called us inexperienced. Your preseason rankings were purely insulting. Seems fitting the inexperienced punching bags were the ones to end your run. My offense generally rips up your defense yet you're still flinging the insults. My meh offense hung 35 on you in our first game the second highest of anyone. Feel free to watch us in the conference championship game.

6. Epic Holiday - had a good season at 11-5, but had an early playoff exit. A dangerous team that is likely to go full-full again and is gaining more experience every season.

Big Pete's House of Munch - not sure how an 11-5 Silver team that lost in the 1st round made it to Gold, but I don't foresee them being much more than a punching bag for the better PWG teams.

I never called you "inexperienced". Instead I said you were gaining "more" experience each season, meaning that at any point, EH could make the jump to a premier PWG team. I didn't think EH would do it this season, but they did. Nothing insulting about my statement. And if you bothered to read my original post, I used the term "punching bag" on a totally different team, and was correct on that call. Next time you decide to get all bent out of shape, try reading the actual post...

And your offense sure shredded me for a whopping 7 points and 176 yards this playoff game. Call me impressed...

Something else to consider, both the teams in the Western Conference Finals are using the same general formula that I used the past 2 seasons to win PWG, that being a stout defense, and an offense based on power inside rushing to control the clock and move the ball, and just enough passing & outside runs to keep the other team's defense from stacking the line too much. It's a formula that works, but sadly, I went away from it trying to be a more balanced team and wound up with a 6th seed and a 2nd round bounce...

After looking over the season, there are 2 main reasons my Bears team didn't do as well, and they are no one's fault buy my own. First is the one I mentioned above, went away from what worked on offense, and that was just dumb on my part. Second is that after winning 2 PWG titles, people started to notice what I was doing and a number of teams transitioned to an offense similar to what I used to win the titles. The problem is my defense was still more of an anti-pass defense and was just not setup to stop that power inside rushing. Case in point, look at what my defense did against APF, 0 points and 20 sacks, and that's because my defense was setup to counter an offense like that. Hard to stop a power inside rushing offense with fast/agile DE's with only 1st cap Strength...

duh could it have been largely to you exposing your team builds for last season? ...but i think that UU and EH were already moving in that direction anywayz, so maybe you helped them slightly but it wouldn't have been enough to claim credit for imo!

I payed zero attention to Gerr's builds. Gerr's pass defense is great. I should have just punted on third and long. If he took advantage of the custom slots he wouldn't have been manhandled by the power run game.

I changed a bunch of things to try to be different from my open builds from last season, didn't work and I got burned...

The sim is nicely balanced, but with so many teams passing around S35ish, defenses had transitioned to more of an anti-pass defense. I switched my offense to more of a power inside ruhsing attack around S37-S38, and it took a season or two to work the bugs out, then had a lot of success S39 & S40. Other teams saw this and have begun to switch their offense to a similar inside power rushing attack. I just got caught with my pants down and didn't transition my defense this season, so like I did to so many teams the past couple season, other teams did to me this season and pounded the ball down my throat with a lot of success.

As defenses adjust from anti-pass to more balanced or even anti-run over the next few seasons, the power inside rushing offenses of several current teams will become less effective and by S45-S50, PWG will likely be dominated by well balanced offenses and defenses and those who find the best balance will take the trophy. Well at least that's my prediction...
