Data from a single day's even smaller than ever sample size, between teams who are all running "care" AI and possibly tried to throw curveballs the other team didn't see coming.

Exactly what i did. I showed DAG for weeks and then all of a sudden this game went into a coverage D

I'm not a big fan of the rational part of me. It's boring. It's wears sweater vests and cranes it's neck while reading.

I'm also starting to suspect it's secretly a KGB sleeper agent trying to mask its evil communist plots behind a facade of overly proper mannerisms.

Well, like I said, prior to this round of sims, one of the teams I DC for had developed a passing offense that chewed up DAG. Worse is that it was inside pressure that generated a lot of the teams 24 sacks which isn't how DAG usually works.

Then you add those sophomore games where teams have gotten away from DAG because the outside blockers do a better job of picking up blitzes. You still see the overwhelming run-first advantage.

The conspiracy theorist in me suspects a change was made to pass blocking before this round of sims.

Just watched all 24 of those sacks and there was inside pressure on about 4-5. About half those sacks came on 3rd/4th and long where the QB is restricted from throwing the ball until the WR is past the 1st down marker.

I'm a Seahawks fan, and this literally feels like I just won the Super Bowl . . . again.

It's the same offense that ate up D2.0 and all the other DAGolicious teams we've played recently. This result is a massive outlier for what should be a fast passing offense.

That offense is extremely high risk vs DAG, just because it worked for you a few times in a row doesn't mean it became how every game was going to play out. Your QB lost 20+ morale the first time he got sacked. He played fine for a couple plays and got sacked again, down to 70 morale. No matter how fast your quick hitting offense is in this sim, if its 3rd and 10 against DAG you are probably gonna give up the sack.

Tip: A high contract gives the player +25 Heart in each game he plays, anyone who doesn't have their QB signed to one is asking for trouble. (This tip is for you too Jampy...)

Actually, looking through the champ games, it's looking more and more like pass-first teams are all losing a lot, and it's kinda odd.

Close but no cigar, if you look closely at what one would consider "upsets" or losses that coulda/shoulda gone the other way, it was through negligence by the losing DC..

These playoffs have been unsuspecting teams beating the crap out of DAG/ZEB and the DOGs blitzes...

evidence goes from Sunday Funday, to Alpine all the way down to Zorp in rookie. DAG/ZEB or any of the dogs blitzes just don't win championships.

I knew there was a morale bonus, didn't know it was that major

Assuming the tooltip is correct on the initial contract page then yea its a pretty good bonus.

Actually, the evidence of rookie games is that DAG defenses are winning a lot more often against teams that have been beating those defenses for the rest of the season.

In fact, in the Zorp loss, all of the Midgets' sacks came on ZEB-DAG which was the same thing that happened in the Darkside loss.

Not everything is about sacks

But I'm not sure about the lower parts of rook, like I've said I've only looked from Soph -> Zorp

Won't be surprised if the S1 OCs still don't know how to stop DAG, they aren't problem solvers tbh.

Well, I'm going to be an OC on a rookie team, and I've already built an offense that I'm 99.9% sure will never give up a sack to DAG.

I've also built the 100% DAG-Free Defense™ for that team.

It'll be a fascinating experiment.
