If glb 2 is really doing great, then why keep glb 1 running? Powers that be need to realize it's just not working and continue to work on glb 1

See, here's the thing... while GLB2 was clearly a mistake and damaged GLB1, at this point shutting down GLB2 won't help GLB1. The damage is already done. The people who were already getting bored with GLB1 have left for GLB2, and if you shut down GLB2, they won't come back to GLB1... they'll move on to something else.
The only thing that will help GLB1 at this point is for Bort, DD and Corndog to stop saying how much they care about GLB1 (without doing anything to back up their empty words) and start doing things to improve the state of the game and try to shore up their existing relationships with their current GLB1 customers. And they've made it clear they have no intention of backing up their words with actions, so...
But yeah, shutting down GLB2 wouldn't do any good at this point. Genie's out of the bottle already.

The sooner you guys stop pretending GLB1 can go back to the good old days without becoming an entirely new game all together, the better.

Maybe true. But if you have your attention divided into two, you will not do good in either game.

If you truly believe that glb 2 is going to be a success, then why wait for glb 1 to die? Why not just kill glb 1 and be done with it? You have this great new game that everyone will love pay to play anyway. Or are you not confident that glb 2 can survive without glb 1?

Why would you kill GLB1 at all? That doesn't make sense.

Isn't that the original plan? And if it isn't, why divide your attention between the 2 games? Did it really make sense at that time glb 2 was concieved?

You don't make any sense. Which is ironic considering your title.
