NEXT!

Ahhhh- but is the BBQ sauce there for the bacon or the burger? I believe the bacon is a topping on the burger to make it taste better, along with the BBQ sauce. Try ordering a hickory burger without the burger and see how they look at you.

Is that a bacon that requires BBQ sauce?

Once again- folks have spent time explaining they *can* eat BBQ without sauce.

That's not what people have been explaining.

And if the sauce doesn't matter, then how come everyone fights about the best kind of BBQ sauce?

Everyone doesn't.

Tell that to KC, Memphis, South Carolina, and Texas.

You listed Memphis lolol

Not to mention Texas, probably best known for brisket

Just tell them you were worried about the pink slime in the ground meat

LHF seems to care about Texas BBQ sauce. And you clearly are not a fan of Memphis-style sauce.

Its ridiculous to assert that eating barrbeque minus any sauce is somehow a badge of pride. I mean, you COULD shave without shaving cream, and submit to surgery without an anesthetic, but why in the world would you want to? Good barbeque consists of excellent meat with excellent sauce, period.

After I apply my dry rub and let it rest for a bit before placing it in the smoker it almost looks like BBQ sauce.

I think his point was that Memphis is a tiny bit famous for dry ribs.

Texas and bbq should not be used in the same sentence, but I guess they might be able to pull it off as long as they stick to pork and never try to pass off the shitty TX raised beef as edible.
