WEEK 4 - HOW THE WEST WAS WON

It was a much better week than the previous as some closer games dotted the landscape. The list of undefeated teams narrowed to three and I still hold the feeling there will not be a 16-0 team heading into the playoffs. There are some solid ball games this upcoming week so let's get to it so I can get my hair cut and run some errands on this lovely Saturday morning.

WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS:
Wornout Bastards @ Auburn Tigers: The Tigers have two in a row under their belt and I suspect it will be three after the week is up.

Nevada Hillbillie's @ Grave Diggers Union: Both teams are coming off losses but I think the Union will bounce back in this contest.

Green Bay Maulers @ Syracuse Bulldogs: Both teams are playing well coming into this clash of the Titans and I expect a higher scoring game here.

1. The LEGION'S Foy Destroyers - Business as usual in shutting down their opponent while putting a lot of points on the board.
2. Oakland Vipers - I laid the challenge down and the Vipers not only accepted but they responded in getting a big win over the Clowns.
3. Green Bay Maulers - D was able to step up and hold the Union to 78 yards but will be tested by the Bulldogs this week.
4. Syracuse Bulldogs - Bounced back with their layup win and have the Maulers this week.
5. Brotherly Love Metro Stars - Got a big win over Nevada to stay within striking distance of the top four.
6. Auburn Tigers - Got the expected shutout and will look to keep their winning streak going for a few weeks.
7. Nevada Hillbillie's - Took one on the chin this past week and will need to bounce back against the Union.
8. The NFL 2012 All Pro Selections - took out the Bastards to get the eight spot and keep Wornout out of the rankings for the first time.

Here's some information since obviously you don't know - I don't control whether its a screen or not - I threw short at a high percentage to complete passes as my QB didn't throw well previously. Simple solution - adjust the defense. There is a section to defend short, medium, or long and plenty of individual tactics. I have TE's getting passes at 40% but my four TE's don't get thrown the ball much - is the sky falling and the sim broken?!!!!! One tweak defensively to take away your little HB dump offs and we would have routed you because you sure couldn't run on us. It is ok though. GG, you out planned us and those are the breaks. Put us like 12th in your pre-season rankings, drop us out of the top 8 after one loss to the shovel pass queens and now this.

I'm not sure how you even construed my post as talking shit but I'll push on from my disbelief in reading one of the most idiot posts I've read on here. Oh, I disrespected an internet team - OMG!!! I thought it more of an education as John didn't appear very intelligent as I explained how a team D could be set up and how using individual tactics could aid in said effort. Now, at least I can lump you two together (be thankful there isn't a team IQ ranking - you'd really feel disrespected). Now, avwjase seems like a pretty solid guy and its a shame he has you two representing his team with your voices on here.

Couldn't run on you - of course with that 10% run setting in our game and every OL on pass blocking - good call on that one as that was obviously my game plan going into the game. Well, first of all GG again. Second of all, I don't mind losing during the season because when teams expose our weaknesses it just motivates me to get off my lazy ass and fix it. We may lose first round of the playoffs for all I know but I guarantee you we will have addressed our major concerns by playoff time and if we lose, we lose. Won't be the first time. I have asked my team to back off the crying because really you did us a favor. We haven't been burned by the screen since and Nevada sure tried to duplicate your success. It didn't work so well that time.

Talent wise, I think we have made our case that we are one of the better teams in the league at this point. Now it is just a matter of me actually doing my due diligence when it comes to scouting and game planning.
