Not everything. I have no idea how to throw a game, for instance.

At the start of the season, alpha looked a lot better but whether the other teams were just better/worse or the sim affected things, it's pretty even. VDA is a solid team but they're not really dominant and could easily lose a game to any of the top 8 zeta teams. Hood is always solid but they've never really overpowered all of WL. Mojo is down this season too.

The past 10 seasons of WL there have been no-brainer dominant teams and then the scraps because of the build disparity. The past few seasons have seen the builds start to max out to where the difference between the 1 and 8 seeds are much smaller. People are smarter with AEQ (and the bonus ceq helped) and VAs now too and you see teams running mostly base AIs with slight tweaks during the reg season. Playoffs roll around and all bets are off for both conferences.

Definitely a good thing for GLB/WL

Seriously, though, you know that HHWC, Carthage, Hood, and Odessa are definitely better than anyone in zeta while GBB, Indy, and Sofia are probably better than anyone in zeta. I think you guys are just trolling me because you can't actually be dumb enough to think the conferences really are anywhere close to even.

Wasn't it a 3 vs 7 seed or something last season and all the heavy favorites didn't even make the final 4?

Meh.

We could beat anyone on any given day, then lose to them the next. Same way with most teams I've seen this season.

If you don't think Mayan, Alpine, Korb, Nairobi or even South Otto could string together 3 wins and take Alpha, you are mistaken, but on the same token, they could all lose 1st round. Alpine cruised all season, Korb and South Otto cruised after they had virtually locked up spots, so their records could have been much better.

Are there some really good teams in Alpha? No question.
Are there some really good teams in Zeta? Absolutely.

I do think Alpha has more talent at the top, but I think Zeta was a bit deeper.

YMX had something to do with that.
