Not saying it has to be done on Day 42, he just decided on Day 45 or 46 right? He needs to do something and staying in hiding without even posting the logic behind how teams were selected is a joke. What would take, 30 seconds to post something? Nothing against the teams that were selected, but there are more than a few teams that would better fit the criteria for WPL. Bort managed to take the time to come out and ass rape the APL in this forum a few seasons back, man up and come post here now on how you chose the teams this time around. Communication is not all that difficult is it...

Well according to Catch...

Empire and Alliance were promoted because they went 16-0. Stryden declined, so they went to USAPL because NBA Jam was from USAPL. Chicago was the top choice from USAPL based on 15-1 regular season and losing in the conference championship game...

but...NBA Jam wasn't from USAPL. They were from SEAPL. By this logic Buffalo Rampage http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=3102 should have been next in line, but it seems that they weren't even considered.

basically we need to see some rules for how this is handled. rj is right. bort needs to address this...not only for this season, but for any future seasons where an issue like this might arise.

their owner isn't even active (atm) to accept any offer anyway...and they'd probably go 0-16 anyway

This has probably long ago been brought up, but why promote someone from pro instead of keeping a WL team that barely missed playoffs? (not Porto ) someone like MoD or something...

Would be nice for bort to layout specific rules for this since it happens every season rather than "ehh, i guess i'll let dakar stay, but not mem the next season, and then after that will promote some random 16-0 team then another 15-1 team that seems good enough". This definitely needs a hard set of rules because lord knows it'll happen end of season 16. Though APL did kind of mess up an easy method to just take the next team down in the league the demoting team was from but like 3 teams declined and no one else decent was left to demote from apl. Now with forced promotion he should go back to that.

Still, no one is "getting screwed" though. If you don't handle your business, then you can't look for handouts. Anything after losing the ccg is just an added bonus
