I'm 50/50 on it.. its this attitude that makes me not really care if you can afford to play or not, though honestly.

Trying to reduce the cost is fine, but do you really expect to play for free? i like the trade off of boost early for early gains or have patience for better builds.

i fully support the idea of teams costing more but getting players with it.

MMD is officially not boosting or CEQ'ing next season no matter what. I'm going to create my entire team myself again and am looking forward to the 100% refund at the end of next season. I can afford the price of GLB just fine (as seen with my owning 95% of my own team this season and boosting all of them) so it's not about spending the money, it's just about making a point and forcing Bort to adjust the prices to a more reasonable amount for one and done players.

Theres some other owners who havent stated whether they would adhere to the no boost/no CEQ policy as explicitly, but it has to be all or none...personally i would think everyone would rather not spend the money, but to each his own

Gamecocks are completely undecided, but we can promise that if you guys go non-boost, we will at least hold off on boosting until the playoffs. As for CEQ, I think that should be banned in pee wee entirely by GLB, but if we can't have that, we'll see. Just to clarify, Gamecocks are all for a GLB mandate for no boosting until the playoffs and no CEQ at all, but we are uncommitted on not boosting or buying CEQ at all.

So you're saying that you will take advantage of other teams come playoff time?!?!

I think teams like shortbus should only be able to scout and work on tactics for 7 minutes per day...its totally unfair to those of us that can't or won't put the time into doing our own homework...I would commit to no boost or ceq if LE will do that....

I like the idea and effort, Beaver. And while I think the only value in these threads are that it may shed some light on the abnormally high cost of doing business in PW, I disagree with people who say it won't work because it just takes one team to boost.

There are PW owners that I trust implicitly so if they say they won't CE or boost next season, I am comfortable taking that to the bank. Yes, there is a risk of a few teams going for it to either stay in Gold, or to win a Silver trophy, but when I look at this from a risk analysis perspective I think you should go ahead and try it next season.

Worst case scenario is that you have a handful of teams that stay true to their word and don't boost. Some teams will go back on their word and boost. Other teams won't even agree to this and will boost. In the end, less flex was spent which reinforces the main point, and the teams that don't boost do poorly. That's it!

However the best case scenario has a large number of teams holding steady which really hammers home our concerns. But even in the worst case scenario it's 1 season down the drain for the teams that don't boost and can't overcome the advantage. To me it is 100% worth it to at least try.

In the end, Gold is the premium of the premium. We will all do what is best for our team. S16 is my last real season and I don't want to feel jacked because everyone is trying to prove a point.

Again, unless you get a thread together that says that no one is boosting or buying CEQ, I'm going to buy CEQ on day -4 and I will boost when it suits me to boost. Gold is too close to drop easy games early in the season because I honour some agreement that only half of the league is following or someone jacks me by equipping CEQ an hour before gametime.

Or we can do the opposite and ask that everyone fully boost and CEQ on Day 1. This way, we turn Gold into a level 4 league and take away any uneven games.

I'm not really looking for an even playing field as much as just a change to the pee-wee flex economy.

The only reason this will be set out for any league this season is if I can get a 100% agreement, which given I've now messaged almost ever owner in pee wee, should be coming soon, if ever.

I haven't done Gold or Silver 1 yet, just got sidetracked.
