A lot will depend on the sim, and on week one matchups.
Last Season we drew HHW and got smacked. We were 4.5 yards from tying the Red Dots on the last play of regulation, and 4 yards (or a couple seconds) from beating Marblehead.
So...with just a couple very small tweaks of the sim and a more reasonable first round draw, we could have been 13-3 with a solid 4th place finish. We weren't really competitive with Bonn, but we did lead Drygerian at halftime in the reg season.
I don't think we were all that far off the pace of a top team last season. This year, as noted, about 51 of our 55 players will all be getting better all season long, and only a couple will have very marginal declines by the end of the season.
All that being said....there are some fairly substantial sim changes in the works, and that, as much as anything, will play a pretty major role in seeing who looks good and who looks shabby.
One thing I will note...if we had been able to reliably stop the screen last season, I think we would have lost fewer games. And we barely ran screens at all offensively, so *presumably* that portion of the sim adjustment will play to our advantage.
Best of luck to all, this league is stacked and anyting at all can happen imo
