That's what makes Zeta great. A lot of great teams. Tough to win this one.
No disrespect to Portland's tremendous accomplishment in pulling off what has to be seen as an incredible upset intended, but looking at Zeta from the perspective of the "middle of the pack," LVSB, Samoa & Washington all seemed to be just "a cut above" the rest of our conference this season.... a measuring stick, if you will to judge how our teams were coming along by how badly they beat the rest of us. - LOL - While it might have been a tad "easier" on the rest of us next season if LVSB & Samoa had both promoted out for Season-3, I (for one) look forward to challenge of elevating our game to compete toe-to-toe with both of these great teams next season.

While it's possible that they will both continue to be totally dominate in respect to everyone else, I suspect what Vexxet said in another thread may prove to be prophetic: Originally posted by vexxet
....The separation will be a lot smaller than this season. It is going to be a slugfest all over the place.
With luck, good management and a few of those "funny bounces" going in the right direction, I can foresee a scenario where there might be as many as 5-6 teams having a legitimate claim to life within Zeta's "upper echelon" next season, as parity rears it's ugly head and "Any given Sunday" is more than just a catch-phrase to explain the inexplicable.

Thats okay Rebel, although the only teams we lost to were those 3 teams (plus the hippos) in the conference, underestimation has been our fortay here in Portland. We have one more game to prove that the Rain is not only in those 3 "top" teams but a cut above.

Best of luck to you and Portland Masakari, but we here in Washington want to show everyone we have what it takes to go all the way.

As far as I'm concerned, the Rain is up there in the upper echelon of teams in Zeta too.

And Washington -- kick some ass in AAA #2 next year for us. We'll always get to say that we lost to the Zeta conference champs. And I promise you, one day we'll be up there and we will have our revenge!

Due props go out to Grinnell as you guys picked on each and every one of our weaknesses. Best of luck next game and bring it home for Alpha!

Like Samoa, we have some high end reinforcements coming in the offseason, and we'll be stronger than ever.

You guys getting high end reinforcements is breaking the hearts of those of us trying to improve.

Next season's going to be fun.

We knew we had some holes, and Grinnell scouted them out perfectly. BUT, the pieces are already in place waiting for the offseason to begin.

Congrats on a great season Orlando. You guys will be a force next year. I'd suggest beefing up the strength on your RT, though... he was getting handled by our DE

Sigh...

If we don't turn the ball over 3 times inside our own territory. The score would have been a lot closer -- maybe.

Reviewed our game a little more...

If it wasn't for the punt return of the fumble forced on the kickoff, Portland and Washington could still be in a 0 - 0 tie.

As the OC of Washington, I'm glad I don't have to face Portland again. You guys kicked my ass
