Sorry I forgot that I posted here. Puppy, you don't hear from me mainly because I tend not to post and just read over all the threads. I was just getting extremely sick of seeing you trying to pump up your team. We get it... you went out on the corner and prostituted your team to sign a bunch of high level 50's. Sick or seeing you post about how you are going to win and how you are the best and how much you love yourself. Go buy some new mirrors and stop trying to mushroom stamp the forums cause no one is buying it. Show us with your actions, not your words. I've seen too many times teams run their mouths then fail in the playoffs. So for now, good luck. If you pull it off I'll send congratulations your way and see you off to pro.

Nothing like a reply 6 days later. But, I've never posted anywhere about how I am the best or that I love myself. Is there something wrong with having confidence in your team? The Boston Dogs do the same thing with their whole "Woof" thing but I dont see you on their tail. (no pun intended ) Im just having fun, and if it makes you mad then thats your problem.

The Boston Dogs have backed up their talk for many seasons now.

Until WNV does that, du77man has a point. WNV has been a mediocre team for many seasons now, losing too many of the top players every season. That may change this season, but until it does, it's just hot air.

I've kept my eye on WNV, since I was once a part of Hikariu's Nile Denial, and WNV was a strong opponent at one point in time.

We were very good in AA, but got promoted to AAA unwillingly so like all teams we struggled. We wernt ready for the increased competition and our records showed, both the 4-12 and the 7-9. This year is APL or bust. We got a new staff and a new roster. If we dont get there this season, I doubt we ever will.

not all teams struggle upon being promoted to AAA. I know that my personal team ended up like 12-4 and the 4 seed on our promotion to AAA. If I recall correctly (because I'm too lazy to look), Dakar won 10 games our first season in AAA. I've seen a ton of teams go through AA and then through AAA. So try not to insinuate that "all teams [struggle]" as that is far from the truth.

You think im stupid or something?

We struggled like most teams. Is that better?

P.S. Was your team promoted from winning a championship or becuase they had a good record?

Blood Diamond went 14-2 in AA and lost in the conference championship to Somalia. We were promoted to AAA last season and were very under leveled. We went 12-4 and got the 5 seed only to lose to the Boston Dogs in the first round. I fully expect to get a home playoff game this season.

actually both Dakar and my teams lost in their Conference Championship in AA before being promoted. I don't "think" you're stupid.

not trying to take anything away from BDM, but i think we'd have beaten you guys both times in season 8 if it hadn't been for the strong i slam...

He has mentioned it more than once but I just ignored it. If you want the facts, we just ran it down their throats 69 times and passed 17. We had two power backs at the time and no elusive back. We couldn't run outside so we ran between the tackles. But we did not run the strong I slam the whole game as he infers. Here is the breakdown...
Strong I Slam 9 times
Weak I HB Slam 11 times
I Formation HB Slam 15 times
I Formation Off Tackle 27 times
Single Back HB Slam 7 times

So as you can see, we ran 5 different formations many different times with the Strong I Slam being the second least run play out of the 5. It all came down to we had the better defense. We scored 14 points in the second half and you didn't score at all. That was the regular season game. I will give you the breakdown of the playoff game when I have time.

Playoff game was a little different. We threw the ball 33 times! We ran the ball 40 times for 102 yards. And our only TD was scored after we intercepted a pass and ran it down inside the 5 yard line.

Breakdown
Strong I Slam 4 times
Weak I HB Slam 2 times
I Formation HB Slam 6 times
I Formation Off Tackle 12 times
Single Back HB Slam 1 time
Strong I HB Off Tackle 13 times

So I hope this will put your Strong I Slam bullshit to bed. They were close, hard fought, down to the wire games. So get over it and move on.

I am on the Clash, and I remember the games well. I do not remember there being much controversy about the games, though.

i dont think i ever mentioned it before. both games were close until the 4th quarter when you guys ran it for 3-4 yards on every play, and we didn't really see the ball. maybe you didn't run the strong i slam, but you guys did take advantage of the fact that the power running game was overly effective that season. i even had my entire defense set up to stop the right side run, and it didn't matter. you guys weren't the only team that took advantage of it against us that season. i'm not trying to cry foul or anything...you guys beat us. all i'm saying is that had the sim not been slanted the way it was, i think we'd have come away with two wins. we did handle you guys in season 6 fwiw...
