No because he looks like the sort of of guy whod spill your drink in a bar and not buy you a replacement. Theres nothing wrong with people speaking out as long as theyre not dumbasses like Joe the fucking plumber. Also over here theres no fucking plumbers that would ever vote anything other than Labour (left wing) so I despise him on the grounds that hes a class traitor.

Lol, get your facts straight. He asked Obama if he would pay higher taxes under him and Obama said if he was a small business owner who hit the threshold then yes, he would pay higher taxes. The Republicans played this up to paint Obama as a taxing monster and thus they elevated Joe the Plumber to such a high level. When the media started to research this guy they found he was not licensed and owed back taxes. No one is questioning if Joe had the right to say what he did, he was perfectly fine in doing so, but the fact that as an unlicensed plumber he couldn't own the business he was talking about buying and the fact he didn't want to pay higher taxes when he wasn't even paying his current taxes did more to discredit himself than the media or Democrats did.

Exactly what tactics did the Dems use to make Joe be afraid to speak? Asking people to factually represent themselves? At least Obama allowed someone with a dissenting opinion to speak. How many rallies did Bush put dissenters into a completely different area so they wouldn't have access to him?

If you believe Joe the Plumber is a hero, you are dilusional. He is nothing short of a moron riding the waves on John McCain and Sarah Palin.

That brings up something else. Palin has no business being in ANY polital position. My dog's fuck toy has more intelligence than that woman.

Question is, have or do any of you own a small business? If not, you have no idea how hard it is to even get one started, much less keep up with all license and insurance requirements. Joe is not a hero, he is just like most every other american trying to do what he can to get by as cheaply as possible. Thats mostly his fault, but partially the governments too, but it is totally Joes problem. If the government were to make things easier on small businesses to run and operate, it would help this starving economy. I just started my own business last May. I could not get a single bit of help from no one, anywhere. All start up expenses came out of my pocket. In order to even be able to APPLY for a small business loan, I have to prove that I have 2 years of positive income. My question is, if I have 2 years of positive income, why the hell would I even need to attempt to apply for a loan. I would so love to say fuck the government and not pay taxes, just because of their spending on worthless crap, while at the same time, offer zero help to persons in the same boat as myself, and Joe the Plumber. Joe is not a bad guy, he just acts on how I feel, where as I wont act on how I feel. I will just take it up the ass, just like how they tell me Im suppose to.

And no, I am not a plumber, I do property preservation, just in case you are wondering

I would suggest moving to Iraq and asking for US aid, you can take the money and not even complete the project you were going to use it for:

It's hard to get a loan for businesses because most businesses fail. If you had cash and your neighbor wanted to borrow it to open a small business, would you hand it over easily?

If you can't get a loan, work hard and save up the cash required like my dad has done. He's paid cash for everything and never had to suck on anyone to get it.

People seem to think everything should be handed to them, including loans.

You dont understand what exactly I am saying. What I am saying is this. To be able to even apply for a small business loan, you need 2 years of profitable income as I stated, then after that, you better have some damn good credit to even get approved. My credit score is 800, and I cant get approved for a personal loan, I assume thats going to be the issue as well, even if I had 2 years of profitable income to be able to apply. Meanwhile, while the small businesses sit here and struggle to get started, and keep going, the government spends money at will across seas for stupid crap thats not needed, or ever going to get finished. My point I am trying to make is that we need to worry and help ourselves and forget about sending money overseas. Its kind of like all these ads on TV where you can "adopt a child" for a dollar a day. Screw that, all that crap goes overseas, lets help our homeless 1st before we start helping other countries poverty issues. Our government has their priorities so damn backwards, its no wonder we are on the verge of complete failure. Theres just a small amount of businesses that actually thrive in an economy like this, and I am lucky to have found that niche. Most are not that fortunate. And no, I have not had to suck on anyone to get where I am as you put it, but yes, a little help would have been nice to get to speed things up. Its not like I am signing up to get grants (free money). It would have been paid back. And when your out of work for 3 years because of medical issues, bills start piling up fast, birthdays, and christmases get smaller and the faster you get back on your feet, the faster the collectors are happy, and the faster your family gets happy. But your right, I guess I could have sat there and milked up some welfare while saving cash to start up my company, but I didnt think that was the right way to go

And to add to it, no I would not help finance my neighbor, Im not a financial institution, thats what our banks are for. And if the company fails, the bank still gets their money. The company failed, not the bank, so the bank still makes money.

My personal thoughts on Joe the Plumber is this. He represents the average American that is struggling. He asked a question and then was destroyed by the media for it. Not the Dems or Repbs, the media. They are the biggest problem in America. Somewhere around the Vietnam war we went horribly wrong. The news used to be good news only and heart breaking stories. Not Jane Fonda sitting on a anit aircraft gun screaming the Americans are horrible. Pre- Vietnam she would have been ostracized and possibly tried for treason. The media had been saying we were in a rescission for the last 5 or 6 years, when in fact American's had been taking more vacations (actually a huge factor in what and how American's are spending) and speeding more money than ever before. GDP was up and our stock market was doing fairly well. Then finally after 6 years of being in a rescission(according to the media), we finally are. Shit after 6 years of that crap, I think I would be afraid to spend my money as well. So is this an anti-free speech rant. I don't really know. I think everybody should be able to say what they want when they want, with our repercussion unless the words actually cause harm or money loss and are unfounded. But to intentionally go out to discredit a working class citizen is just wrong. What if he is the worlds best plumber and he was applying to be licensed? The media just ruined that guy, for actually doing nothing wrong. I blame everything on the media. I believe in free speech, but there should be some level of control on something that is broadcasted to millions of people that can't make an informed decision.

Oh, didn't realize it was that easy. Surprised that the guys at google and amazon took hundreds of millions of dollars of venture capitalist's money when they could have just worked hard to save up the cash they needed.

Come on now, we can't feel sorry for him. The same media that "destroyed" him also gave him a job as a reporter in Israel which he had no qualifications for (not that is stopped him from plumbing), and he is also releasing a book. Do you think either of those things would have happened had the media not been involved?

does he have a personality???? Then he is as qualified as an other reporter. LOL. I actually didn't know that he had a job as a reporter. LOL. I did now about the book. That is the "American" way though. Kinda like making lemonade with lemons or something. (for the book part)
