Wow, what used to be a great, simple guide has become utterly useless. Which skills should I focus on? All that information is gone.

Guess I'll have to find another guide.

Reading is good, and if you are looking for me to tell you what to do, that is more of a mandate than a guide. I am trying to give you information and let YOU decide how to build your player instead of making those decisions for you. There is no shortage of plans that people have for slowbuilding or making players. If that is what you want then PM me and I'll gladly send you a pretty good one or give you individual advice about your player if you prefer.

I must admit Tpaterniti, your first guide is probably what hooked me into GLB. I must have read that 100 times and refered all my friends to it when I first joined.

I can clearly see your growth as an agent and guide writer on GLB. Basically most of the mystery is gone when comparing this guide to your original. I am not sure if this is good or bad. It just does not have the same awe factor that your first guide had imo.

Still it looks like it should be useful. I guess I cannot look at this with the eyes of a new player so I am not sure how much impact it will have. Anyways, thanks for writing both guides.

That post makes you look as dumb as the girl in your avatar. There is a lot of information in this guide for a new player to use to help make the choices that will lead to a good dot. It's not a guide that's meant to tell you what to do, it's a guide to help you figure out on your own what to do to make the best player.

This guide now tells me everything under the sun. I want to know the important stuff, not every remote possibility. That's what made this guide so good. It's now overrun with verbal diarrhea. How anyone is supposed to make choices about stuff here is beyond me - everything is treated fairly equally. There's no indication of which skills are better for run stuffing/pass rushing/coverage LBs.

Yeah, a link to a more concise slow build guide would be great.

What is a run stuffing/pass rushing/coverage LB?

I ask because all of those tasks can be accomplished differently. On my team I have a run stuffing/pass coverage LB. He had 115 tackles 3 ints 3 FF 13 TFL 25 PDs 1 DefTD last season. He probably wouldn't fit into one of those molds, but in the scheme I use, he does have a huge role as a LOLB.
