Holy crap! I go to bed early one time and look at all the crosstalk I miss! sheeez.
I will go on the record right now and say that I am actually a big fan of smack talk. My typical M.O. is to respond with sarcasm or snark, which sometimes doesn't translate well over the interwebnets. Then there's that whole language thing... sometimes it's easy tor forget (or easier to assume in some cases) that English is not a first language for a lot of people in this game.
My point is that this is a game. We all want to win and that's why we play.
I will also say that I am 100% certain that belly's comments were meant to be delivered with good humor and not some sort of uber-strike against the strong Canadian steel Industry, the city of Hamilton, or it's citizens. Clearly the funny was lost in translation somewhere. (I'm actually very familiar with Hamilton... I drive though it a couple of times a year and follow a lot of hockey.)

Nothin like breathing in the thick Hamilton air as you drive across the skyway bridge over Lake Ontario, lol. Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) are a great team to watch, especially when they decide to win the Calder Cup like they did a couple seasons ago. I'm just waiting for them to move a struggling american NHL franchise up here! I'm pretty sure this is one of the top choices for relocation. But the joke around here has always been "Hamilton will never get a pro hockey team, because then Toronto will want one too" ZINGGGGG! Cheers to you being well-informed though munkee.

I have the garbage heap known as the Springfield Falcons to watch. At least tickets are cheap.

I'd love to see one of the FL teams move to Canada. It just seems like the NHL will never be able to compete with baseball and track & field in the state of FL.
I still miss the Jets and Nordiques. Didn't Hamilton have an NHL franchise at one time?
