Can't say we are not worried. We were game planning against the Limas in preparation for the Wolf Pack. Whoops! We had to throw those plans out the window and start from scratch. Some sort of mix up in the head office. Nothing like scouting the wrong damn team in the same city...

Lets face it, you guys have suffered a single loss by an incredible 1 point. We are having a super hard time finding a way to shut down your offense. Your team has been challenged and still has managed to put up nice numbers regardless of the opponent. Laval gave your team a run for it's money but still fell short. I have to admit we will have our hands full. I was thinking of writing up a huge trash talk on your team, however not being able to find faults in your game plan has made me second guess my efforts in opening up my mouth.

We have great respect for your team. Won or lose, it will be a great game with some great highlights to view.

Best of luck mate; it should be a fun game from top to bottom. On a completely funny side note, Silver Bojangles, my PR got 12 Punt returns for TDs this week against our Saskatchewan evil twins!

5-3 ranked #6 in a statisical spreadsheet - happy with that as we have played 4 of the 5 teams ahead of us in the rankings - with only Lancaster left. We have a very easy schedule left outside of a couple games - Lancaster and Yellowknife....and then of course we play Quebec Dirtbags a strong team out of the West as out of conference game to finish the season.

Fighting for a top 4 seed I like our chances with the remaining schedule. If we can get by the Hustlas then I think we'll get our first home playoff game.

Antioch Inferno vs. Nova Scotia Snakes - I didn't want to pick the Inferno game as a game of the week for a second week in a row, but it's the only game that features two teams currently in playoff positions. I don't know if it will be the closest game, but perhaps the other one to watch is Lincoln Lucky vs. Toronto Storm

should defintley be a fun one

After Week 9, I've updated the power rankings, and we've seen a shuffle between the 4-9 teams in the Western Conference, while the Eastern Conference has more or less remained the same, although Nova Scotia and Hamilton continue in a virtual tie, and have flip-flopped places for the second week in a row: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pOUigrsS32wIOhEjLVhzCBQ

UPCOMING GAMES OF THE WEEK

Western Conference
Gaffney at Tradewest - The Indians are 1-3 lifetime against the Battletoads (1-1 in regular season, 0-1 in scrimmages, and 0-1 in the playoffs). This season, the Battletoads are currently in the #9 spot, but with plenty of games left they are looking to play their way into a playoff seed. I'm sure the Indians would like to try and make the head-to-head record more even, and avenge their opening round, home playoff loss to lower-seeded Tradewest, while the Battletoads would love to knock the Indians down a peg and quickly move into the playoff picture.

Eastern Conference
Lancaster at. Lincoln - The Lucky have emerged from their difficult opening stretch of games, and are still in the playoff hunt with their current four game win streak. The Hustlas' are riding a three game win streak, but unlike the Lucky, their tough stretch is just beginning, with Niagara, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Antioch on schedule for four of the five games following Lincoln. Lancaster won the only prior meeting between these teams last season, by scoring 9 points in the 4th quarter to win by 9. This season, the Hustlas' would like to show that their sole loss to Yellowknife was a fluke by repeating the outcome of Season 4, while the Lucky hope to even the series with Lancaster and extend their win streak.

Snoozers of the Week
Antioch Inferno vs. Toronto Tigers and Saskatchewan Wolf Pack vs. Bologna Towers - Don't look for the Tigers or Towers to get their first wins this week as the Tigers and Towers give up a lot of points, while the Inferno and Wolf Pack tend to score a lot of points. Not very favorable matchups for the underdogs.

Thanks, I guess I saw the scrimmage but didn't see the actual regular season game last season. I've edited it above.

I've input the data for Week 10, and it looks like the teams remain at the same positions in the top three spots in each conference (I'm a little surprised, considering the Hustlas loss). Although the spots remain the same, there was a convergence in the West, as both Listowel and Ogopogo made up ground on the Wolf Pack, and a divergence in the East as Antioch and Lancaster lost ground on the Quasers. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pOUigrsS32wIOhEjLVhzCBQ

The Rankings Summary for the WESTERN conference:

Rank Team - Rating (Change from last week)
1 Saskatchewan Wolf Pack - 14.337 (--)

7 Tradewest Battletoads - 11.779 (+2)
8 Westwood Bruins - 11.650 (-1)
9 Gaffney Indians - 11.230 (-1)
10 B.K. Thunderbirds - 9.850 (+1)
11 Thunder Bay Sabertooths - 9.131 (-1)
12 Grise Fjord ^^^Kodiaks^^^ - 7.399 (--)
13 Saskatchewan Limas - 6.951 (--)
14 Bologna Towers - 4.437 (+1)
15 Montreal Ice - 4.369 (-1)
16 Hawkesbury Foxbirds - 4.228 (--)

The Rankings Summary for the EASTERN conference:

Rank Team - Rating (Change from last week)

15 Toronto Tigers - 4.756 (--)

UPCOMING GAMES OF THE WEEK - Due to time constraints, I'll leave the game descriptions to the professionals, but here are the games I would pick:

Western Conference
Memphis vs. Ogopogo

Eastern Conference
Hamilton vs. Nova Scotia

Snoozer of the Week
Québec City vs. Hawkesbury

How the he** does Niagara jump ahead of us? We beat them earlier this season, and we have the same exact record! Strength of schedule?

You may want to redo that. Snakes beat Niagara convincingly, held their top rusher to 33yds and put double the stats that they did in every aspect of the game. How did you derive that?

Doesn't really matter, let them underestimate us and we'll just work things out later when we play
