aside from hali not making a big public scene over it, because we all know that when that happens, shit gets fixed within the month.

Some things to think about as this rule hits those that played by the rules and those that tried to game the system:

- Give owners a 1x chance to re-coup all flex piad for a team if they sold it back.

This will give those who feel "screwed" a chance to get their money back and start over (as owners) under the new system. It is not their fault that game economics forced them to do things that was considered detrimental to the game. With the changes to money, stadium and player builds giving this flex back (similar to what you're doing with player retirement due to archtypes) should be a way to quell the complaints.

- When you change the team/player cash rules reset the financials of every team to be the same at each level of the game (read AA and up) as well.

As an owner since season 4, who has paid for every peice of EQ a team member has ever requested (including level 72) I don't want to be at a disadvantage over teams that didn't pay for EQ for their players...and I know it happens at the Pro and WL levels. Many aren't even covering level 64 yet have similar cash capabilities as my team. All I'm lokoing for is everyone to start on an equal playing field once the change occurs with a reasonable amount of money to let me adjust to what changes in player contract needs and stadium upgrades/advertising. I've been spending my teams money based on the current economics that best fit the team's needs to win and be competetive. Would hate to see a team w/ boat-loads (or equivalent) cash, who is not paying for EQ have an advantage as they no longer have to pay for something my team has all along.

For the long-term good of the game these 1xs changes (and rebates) might be helpful...again, looking long term.

Yeah I am. You are taking away my team when you take the money saved up and the fan support and the stadium. In 14 seasons as a team owner I have spent around 6000 Flex point to keep that team. The same team. EVERY year making sure we are capped where we need to be so the leagues are not broken and so we are a good team in the league we are in. Now if I ask to be demoted so there fubared Demotion system is not broken they are penalizing me

They're not "penalizing you". Instead, they woke up and realized that they were penalizing the REST OF YOUR LEAGUE when they let teams like yours drop all the way down and compete against n00bs that had no cash and no stadium.

Of course you don't want a reset....

ok explain how I can do that in the pro leagues when players only play there for 2-3 seasons then start to decline. When you draft a rookie in the pros he has a 10+ year career. Thus starting over at level 12 cap and keeping the same team for 9 full seasons and working your way thru the ranks.

actually, this change favors the old times that have already gutted to be honest

Only for maybe a season till equipment and new money system take over. The whole point is that this is setting up the new money system and will definitely help in the meantime. So you really think that letting it keep going as it has been is the best answer? Older people took advantage and gamed the system so now you want your own chance to cheat? Seriously, get over it. Lots of teams have been playing fair the entire time from season to season.

you already do get a 100% refund on all remaining days.

if you're talking about getting money back for days you already used, because of rule changes that only effect the future, lolllllll

Ask the teams who continue to stay in the Pro And WL for 10+ seasons. It's not that hard.

That criticism applies to pretty much everyone who has owned a team long enough to drop down. Show me one that has done so and doesn't have a pile of cash. My team has a ton of cash and I won't be affected significantly by this rules change. If you want to dismiss what people have to say, then show that what they've said is worth dismissing. Don't rely on nonsense like their team status.

Nah, as long as you're not CPU you'll win with all the guts that happen midseason. Almost impossible to get demoted these days even in pro leagues unless you are full cpu and gut day 1. I still think the first option is lame and shouldn't be there since the team will be uncompetitive regardless (having 30 guys lvl 36 in pro isn't being competitive) and part of the problem and are just as bad as a gutjobs. The teams with big gaps between farm teams know this ahead of time. Just recruit a little bit in the mean time instead of just trying to game the system. Or if you can't handle that, try not owning a team since you're obviously not up to it with the exception of owning it for 2seasons, taking a 2season break, then going back at it for 2 seasons.

DD said they are working on stopping midseason gutting.

So because I have been playing GLB since Season 1 Day 14 have owned a team just as long and have been a dedicated GLB player I get screwed so that the guy who signed up yesterday and buys a team (who will in the end sells his team because he cant handle being a owner) Does not have to EARN what I already have earned?
