Sorry if this has been answered... but something I am not clear on... teams requesting to stay at the level they are at, IE non playoff teams that still have all players fall within the level range... are they considered a "demoted" team for these purposes?

So a team thats in Cap 14 and wants to remain there next season to go with Archetype players instead, will their stadium and finances get reset?

brand new teams should not equal teams that have been around for seasons.... fix the gut/cash cow cheater issue and leave the rest alone...

umm...because hes starting over?

1. Something had to be done because there is too much money in the GLB economy, and teams dropping down with full stadiums are a big problem

2. An issue with this particular fix is that it gives another huge advanatage to entrenched tems that have already taken advantage of such tactics

3. The in-game money causes far more trouble than it is worth. It adds nothing but headaches in its current form

4. Was a system that would create more parity, such as a salary cap system considered? It has successfully created parity in real sports. If we give the players a reason to desire money, I think it could be the most effective system.

we are currently working on in-game economy changes, equipment, etc. can't go into detail just yet, but we agree that a change/fix is needed

sounds like it

they announce the archetypes and people think "hey, that sounds good, I'll scrap this team and go that route"

GLB says "OK - we'll scrap your stadium to do so"

perhaps they looked at how many people were going to take advantage of the 100% flex return on retirement of young players and did this to mitigate some of that

Yeah I am. You are taking away my team when you take the money saved up and the fan support and the stadium. In 14 seasons as a team owner I have spent around 6000 Flex point to keep that team. The same team. EVERY year making sure we are capped where we need to be so the leagues are not broken and so we are a good team in the league we are in. Now if I ask to be demoted so there fubared Demotion system is not broken they are penalizing me

In real life people don't have the opportunity for multiple careers. They just get to play once, get older, and die. It boggles the mind that you have made such a crusade about this when minors teams with tons of cash aren't even a big deal. You don't really gain a competitive advantage until you're out of the cloud, since that's the point at which equipment starts becoming ludicrously expensive.

I don't oppose this rule change because I want an advantage. I oppose this rule change because people are being punished for no reason other than wanting to create a new generation of players, and because it will force people to repeat elements about this game that everyone finds annoying and pointless.

I don't even think the new rules are strict enough. Not that big a deal to get 30 players averaging the suggested levels that are already way too low. I'd rather get rid of the reason behind these teams staying in these leagues with cpus.

Honestly, does anyone actually have fun with the current money system and stadium building? There isn't an art to it or anything. Build your stadium up before everything else, go a few years collecting money, drop down to start with full stadium and lots of money and then go from there. It's not fun or interesting. It's not an extra challenge or mental exercise. It's pointless and Bort i'm sure knows it is as he originally intended for money to do more things early on but i'm sure just got wrapped up in fixing the sim every season. I honestly would rather it go away altogether until a new system and new uses for money come out and then doll it out based on the team's lvl. It's just lame as is and not even worth keeping around if it's causing this much trouble

The two biggest reasons to try and do what red is doing is to stave off forced demotion long enough for their farm system to come into place/he can recruit enough guys.

or

so he can gain a high bank roll, request demotion, and be set.

one of those reasons has been eliminated from the equation. id say the other is his choice and not much you can do about it. 30 players on his team would be a the league cap and hes gonna have to win a game or 2 to survive.

Nah, as long as you're not CPU you'll win with all the guts that happen midseason. Almost impossible to get demoted these days even in pro leagues unless you are full cpu and gut day 1. I still think the first option is lame and shouldn't be there since the team will be uncompetitive regardless (having 30 guys lvl 36 in pro isn't being competitive) and part of the problem and are just as bad as a gutjobs. The teams with big gaps between farm teams know this ahead of time. Just recruit a little bit in the mean time instead of just trying to game the system. Or if you can't handle that, try not owning a team since you're obviously not up to it with the exception of owning it for 2seasons, taking a 2season break, then going back at it for 2 seasons.

If you are complaining about this then you were/are part of the problem. Make an effort to win every season or off with your head.

Be easier to just punish all the nasayers in this post, be less work.
