If you just have hyper Speed/Agility guys able to do this without supporting attributes, things look bad in a hurry.

The vision/agility back should be able to do this though, with pretty decent effects.

Well yes. All of these changes would be based around making agility and vision more important for HB's.

Agreed. I would say Agility + Carrying + Vision + Confidence should all play key factors. And definitely agree with the way Vision means little to the sim... Vision could be weighted more heavily than others.

so this "agility/vision" backs build...

63 strength
80 speed
100 agility
80-90 vision

something along those lines? or am i way off basis here

While I kind of like the idea of increased difficulty with vision checks...that still likely won't solve the problem of HBs zigzagging like fuck.

Hag's solution brings up the question...should HB's always just try to find the safest path between defenders to squeeze out a yard, or should they take larger, riskier cuts?

Yeah, that should be the target.

It would accomplish us being able to have another viable RB build, which can never be a bad thing.

I think 68 is where it ought to start working pretty perceptibly...seems like a decent number.

You'd get a bit of it at 60, very, very little at 48. 80+ might be pretty cool looking.

Depends on the Elusive slider, right?

you have me tempted to make a HB aiming towards that type of build now

Absolutely. Slider.

Partly yes, but the large risky cuts lead to the zigzagging

They try to take a large angle, and it doesn't work, so they try to take another large angle.

maybe we are back to the list of possible moves....a HB won't try to cut on successive ticks, but will try to juke/fake instead, or pick a spot and lower/shoulder/spin through it?

Well the point is to take effective angles..a point comes in which squeezing out the extra yard should nearly always be the choice I would think..idk I think I am out thinking myself now.

Exactly... You just need to eliminate the capability of a dot being able to change its vector every tick. Unless... Vision checks are passed? I don't know... But it is retarded that anyone could zig/zag like that. There should be a tick or several ticks between being able to make consecutive zigs and zags. Maybe three change of directions consecutively should be max? I dunno... But endless zig and zagging is not really realistic.

Maybe the slider should be divided up.

Safest route vs Riskier route
and
Stick to play vs be creative

Safest route would just calculate the place where you can reliably get the most yards. Riskier would be cutting back and trying to get behind defenders (with the increased vision check)

Stick to play would be running to the designed hole without question, and be creative would be somewhat similar to what elusive already tries to do...find a different route (but with the other slider, the routes won't be left sideline vs right sideline)
