Now my left arm is sore and there's a formidable blister on my right thumb.

Worth it? Worth it.

I still have my Columbia Yellow dot from when I was a kid. I got the finger tip inserts. I can't bowl with conventional style.

Do you have the off-set weight on the inside? And fingertip bowling is one thing I've never been quite able to do, I gotta 2nd-knuckle it.

Fwiw, I've never been able to bowl with a conventional style since I started putting a curve on it. I bowl right handed, I release from past the left gutter just about at the gutter of the next lane over, and it curves to the right, opposed to the regular right-left curve

Edit: I use the generic balls the alley provides. I prefer a 14 or 16 with a rough inside and smooth edges on the holes

I never use weights on the inside. My ball is a 15 pounder. I line up with my right hand at the 2nd or 3rd arrow from the right side. It curves into the pocket. Nothing radical tho. I use the arrows to aim. If the lane is real wet, I'll adjust a board over.

Been a long time since I went bowling tho. I used to have a 180 average when I a teen. I bowled many 240 and 250 games. One game I came within 1 strike of 300.

One of the 5 people I bowl weekly with uses the ball his dad used to have, weighted on the inside. Curves so ridiculously hard it looks like someone kicks it from the gutter into the pins. I used to use the arrows but with how ridiculously far over I throw it from, they're kinda just decorations now I line up with my right foot on the middle dot way back but that's just to orient my approach

Damn nice, I only averaged 160 at my max. Why don't you bowl more?

I really should go more, but the nearest ally is 35 miles away.

I had another drink and I regret my decision. No food + dehydrated + tired = too drunk.

The best part of bowling is the bit where you play who can bowl the fastest ball, and then who can bowl the slowest ball. We have a speedometer on the computers at the bowling ally, im gonna assume you do to unless you go to hipster allys

We do that too, we call it beasting it

I max out getting a 16 to about 19mph and a 10 to 25mph. No accuracy though. How about you?

I do remember my friend doing a slowest ball and it not reaching the pins so we had to get the guy

Also when the time or game limit is done the pins still refresh, so we just carry on playing until someone tells us to leave. The computers dont keep score though
