Warrior General Games

First of all,

sants and worbs are actually telling the truth. jay and i did up and leave without warning. They don't really deserve the whole forum to be up in arms at them, and they have behaved with more maturity and class on this forum than I have to them.

I had my reasons for leaving, and so did jay - and if worbs and sants care to know I will be happy to inform them in more detail via pm or on the davidians forum.

What I will say to the A7 community is that the decision for me personally was not made until very recently... I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my players, or with regards to GLB in general, until only a couple days ago. After the loss to GPR in the finals, I didn't think about or mess with GLB for a few days - and then when I did return I found that all of the contracts for more than half the team were expiring within a few hours. I also had pms from several of them saying they were looking elsewhere.

To be honest, I can't blame them, and it was just a rough situation - as sants has openly admitted, I did the majority of the operations for Waco for the past 2 seasons, and not to attack worbs and sants, but the fact is I did so without much help, but at the same time I did recieve a lot of criticism on the few occasions that the team did falter, even in victory, and didn't percieve much in the way of gratitude for leading my team to a 2 season record of 35-3, including directing an offense that led A7 in most statistical categories this season and was second only to Margaritaville in season 2. At the end of the day, with many of my players leaving (I recruited every player on the davidians not owned by sants, worbs, joe leno, or myself), I just didn't have the energy to try to continue being owner of a team in all but name.

That said, I do want to apologize to worbs and sants here for my treatment of them, and I openly admit that I have not handled this situation as well as I should have. I wish the Davidians luck, and I will say that to anyone with free agents that is being recruited by worbs and sants, with me out of the picture I'm sure they will be quite active and capable managers of their team. Waco will actually be a better place to play now that the onus of managing it doesn't fall on one person.

Good luck to everybody that I've spent time with in Waco - it's been a good ride, but I'm afraid the time has come for me to part ways.

Ouch, no one can resign with Scarlet is gone?

Yea, he moved and didn't give any GM the power to sign or cut players. I don't think he expected to be without internet this long. He's going to lose the team in two days if he doesn't sign on though.

I would hope the admins could help him out with this. Since its not like he went inactive and never coming back.

Do you actually think he's only been active for 14 days?

Please learn the term gut, he did not gut anything. He took his players and left. Gutting would be cutting everyone.

gator no offense but you are working with limited information. i can tell that rj prepped people before he left. it's fine, but pretty funny how people are acting in this thread. i know i said i was leaving but it's just too amazing for me to stay away.

edit: i guess it just proves that if you build a good reputation in a community they will believe just about anything you tell them. i guess those of us that didn't maliciously leave our team are the 'bad guys', and that's ok. it's just pretty funny.

Nah I haven't talked to RJ. Also they have a better reptation because they post more than once a month and there post isn't calling some fucked or stuff like that. I also know why they left and understand why, you are blind if you don't see why.

So you haven't talked to them but earlier you said numerous times you talked to them. You are a mysterious gentleman

I wouldn't be so sure about that buddy. Even with out the dominant Waco being the same team, and I mean that to no disrespect to Sants and Worbs but you guys have a lot of recruiting to do now to get back to where you were, you still got some really good teams to get through.

No I checked to see what team you were on. I knew you had to be one of the new teams just promoted. It wasn't a knock on you but more of reminded me of the Elves thread on GLB main forum saying they would roll through this league and the next.

Waco part of it is kind of sad. They were one of the most dominant teams in A7 since the leagues existence. Made it to both Conference Championship games and lost. Would of been probably the favorite to win it this season. But shit happens I guess and I wish both sides good luck in the Waco split.

Clearly you haven't heard of the Lumberjacks well enough. They are ridiculously good.

Haha, sorry fair had to say that. Seriously though the Lumberjacks look great but they don't look like top dog. I think Elves will be No.1 this year with Waco dying and Noobs going up in flames.

Well the last time I actually heard anything from him was the last day before he moved. But I do know that he wasn't around as much this season as he was season 2.

Hartford is done as well. I'll be staying in A7 with the wizards though. They were nice enough to sign a couple of my players.
