Alas....you're trying to compare what makes a "real life" shutdown CB to what makes one here. They're not the same.
Shutdown CBs will put up stats in this game. The CPU engine doesnt say...."OMG, this CB is UBER special and I'm no longer doing to run or throw his way". The BEST CBs in this game will limit their WRs to minimal catches/no TDs while putting up solid INT and deflection totals.
Tackles can go either way depending on your opponents game tactics. Infact, A lot is determined by game tactics....both by the defense, CB, and opposing offense.
