I think Shin is right, but lets see!

Casual, by the way, has as far as I know always had presets. It's just that Bort can't re-create them or he just won't. Regardless, what I believe needs to happen is to simply get rid of the inside run preset. It will force teams to use something else or play basic and adjust the percentages.

We should also jump on the bandwagon and get a little buff to passing along with toning back interceptions to make passing more viable without throwing an ungodly amount of interceptions every game. I'm no programer, but would it be that hard to adjust ??

Yeah I've noticed the difference in going for it on 4th down. Thanks for that Kurt!

I've tried with Bort, all he has said was "they are lost forever." I also think Ryans defense needs to go, but I don't think anything is going to change, hence why I quit coordinating.

I do agree with the INT's as well, but they are definitely down in Casual since no one throws. You and Grey built really good INT dots and would average over 10+ INT's a season EASILY back before the crash.

Just use standard Casual DC and everything will be fine.

Surely using the basic tactics would mean the end of scat HB/FB in casual because the custom depth chart would not be in use.

Bier's QB has thrown 15 INTs after 7 games which is mainly why I'm scaling back passing there .

No big deal tbh.

actually a massive deal
part of the strength of the offensive sim in general is pHBs and receiving back field

if you take away the run and you take away a massive piece of completing passes; and if you think interceptions are up now, just wait if you really want to get rid of the presets.

Would just mean even less passing

Scrim results - sorry I made the scrim private.

Benitos beat the Grizzlies 38-26. Grizzlies 1st column and Benitos 2nd column. Not sure how this is going to look once i hit post though. Will probably be all jacked up.

TOTAL NET YARDS 463.5 487
TOTAL RUSHING YARDS 51.5 88
Rushes 28 32
Yards/Rush 1.8 2.8
TOTAL PASSING YARDS 412 399
Completions/Attempts 20/45 26/45
Yards/Pass 9.2 8.9
Times Sacked 0 0
Times Intercepted 5 1
PUNTS 4 6
Yards per Punt 54.3 49.2
PENALTIES 1 0
Penalty Yards 5 0
FUMBLES 1 0
Fumbles Lost 0 0
TIME OF POSSESSION 28:04 31:56

As you can see 90 total passes with ZERO going to the Blocking TE's. 56 total targets for the WR's with 27 completions for 601 yards. One problem with this scrim was BTE's didn't play any offense on Grizzlies while the BTE's played a combined 11 offensive plays for Benitos. Probably had one of settings off or it could be a result of using basic.

Just ran basic defense also without checking so where they were set.

Blocking TEs do get targets and the completion % is pretty poor.

And like you said earlier Custom Spots won't work with basic tactics. Getting rid of all of the presets is not the answer. A lot of teams build specialty dots that compliment the offense. Those players would be essentially useless going forward as you can't get them in the correct spots and situations.

Exactly.

I'm not saying that something doesn't need to be done with the current state of casual, but i truly believe that banishing presets is not the answer....just my opinion .

Banish presets and force people to build for casual specifically. Problem solved. Were there ever pre sets in causal?
