100%.

I'm always opposed to a nerf that kills something off but doesn't make it more like a real football game. As soon as that nerf happened the overall game develops an issue elsewhere. It's sort of like playing whack-a-mole with economic bubbles.

I think it would be better if we asked Bort/CDog to tweak not nerf and this just needs some tweaks to get sorted. I dont really want 1 style of play to be better than any other or superior on its face. If I have fast secondary I should be vulnerable to powerbacks that make it to the 2nd level, a slow secondary should get burned.

Unless you have 11 S* on defense.

Then you still have to choose what you're doing as your primary function. Sure you're faster but you're not 100 in all the pass D stats.

Star D Linemen are the real issue. Every additional star makes it harder to scheme for sure, but because we all know the linemen will eat if we can’t figure anything out.

I'm done putting money and effort into this game. As a former DB guy turned QB guy: Passing fucking sucks now!

It got worse and everyone has these rose colored glasses since we're getting lucky with a few long plays. Is no one looking at the QB completion rates? The interceptions? The poor freaking throwing!!! We keep saying its defense, but between both teams I count about 9 walk-in scores negated by drops or QB monkey brain.

And I don't know why the radius for defensive plays by DBs has increased; there are far too many drops being credited as defensive pressure. The lead mechanics also suck, I don't know why people ae pretending otherwise. QBs leading receivers to the pearly gates.

Passing's been dead for too long, and the changes continue to get counterproductive. Speed clearly isn't a viable shift, and if CiT takes anymore hits then that's dead too. The changes were made to make sure neither form offense was too powerful, but I can promise you one style that hasn't had any issues dominating since the existence of this game.

For all that salary I'm paying him, I don't support how limited QBs are compared to the rest of the offense. I cannot condone paying to build a team around a position that the game clearly hates. QBs, Bort & Corndog are all extorting me.

You just played my Journeyman team and lost. We have a defense basically designed to stop the pass, with that being said in that game. Your WR that is stupid fast, you dont throw many deep balls too. While we have two star CBs, I watched your guy fire first step and start to get behind us a bunch but you targetted others. Part of that looks like some poor playcalling.

Yeah, I think playcalling is an issue...BUT that's honestly tied to what I think is the biggest issue in the game offensively, you basically have to call one of 10-15 passes to be successful. Hundreds of different passes and for no rhyme or reason only the same ones work decently. I'm somewhat shocked that coming back after about 40 seasons, my successful playbooks look shockingly similar to the ones from S20ish.

Maybe letting OCs have full control of the receiver targeting order would help? I think that would be the easiest solution to try and have more passes be successful.

Yeah bro, same plays that worked 4 years ago still work today...a few new ones with the new formations but they need to allow us control of the progression to widen the usable playbook

I wonder if its something in the code? Idk I like to plug in random stuff and see if it works... BUT when nothing works you're neither excited or upset lol.

Lots of plays were working before the last changelog. Passing was good for the past 5 seasons or so. Right now passing is god awful because deflection is OP

Bullshit. Running got nerfed to hell. I cannot even run outside anymore. Fred Taylor use to get 5 YPC against very good competition, now he sucks. And Tebow is throwing all over the place. Passing got a big buff.

QB rushing is interesting to me; when the QB takes off, it’s like they are running with 80 carry awareness.
