My curiosity. You have the defensive line and then 2 players behind the line. What if with that closer player you put the small CB with extreme speed. Would they be able to make it there as well. I’ve noticed one of those 2 positions seems to go unblocked. Just the CB would be just a little further back start.

Then would whatever position that supposed to be there work; in the factor that the lineman, that does block the DT, would then more often go after that speed guy coming in across from the DT and free him up more often?

You might be able to make a lb that is faster, but the key is the dt is a yard or two closer to the holder.

If he's a good enough all around special teams ace you can justify his contract by having him let others rest during those snaps - just give your other 2 DTs STs off and make sure they've got a decent amount of tough and conditioning to last all game.

He's definitely fast enough to play outside edge/gunner where high block/shed block won't harass him too much.

i've tried that but he sometimes wont have enough stamina to play 2 pat in a row

Infrequent sub only player for position on DC, maybe consider more conditioning?
